If Only.....

you could sit on my deck with me and catch the heavenly aroma wafting on the breeze of my gardenia bush that is chock full of blooms!! I took this photo two days ago, and there are about 10-15 more blooms on it this morning. Is there anything so pristine as a new gardenia bloom?

They are so beautiful - my grandmother had one in her yard. The scent always makes me think of her.

I'll happily sit on any deck at the moment as we have had pouring rain for days here in the UK!

That is what I need. Please tell met that there are no scentless varieties I might get by mistake. That would do me in.

If only my olfactory ends were not fried with formalin and withered from chronic sinusitis. Then I could smell yours and mine. Does it not seem that they bloomed a little later than usual this year? I thought they bloomed at least two to three weeks earlier last year.

Hi Judy: with all the heat we've been having I'm assuming that you sit and enjoy the gardenia bushes in the early morn ! You must have a green thumb to hav them be so lush and fragrant. I envy that!

It's been such a long time since I sniffed the wonderful fragrance of gardenia. Your photo helps to conjure that scent. Wonderful!

My gardenia is in its second bloom right now. Between that bush and all the star jasmine, the yard smells mighty good. I love your photo!
