Let's take a short stroll outside, shall we?
Some pitiful purple crocus. They came up early and it got too cold for them, so they wouldn't open.
Lichen on a fallen branch.
Bloom, darn ya!!
Since this was taken, a few have bloomed, but not as many as I'd like.
Darn squirrels! The very least they could do is clean up after themselves, right? I've told them repeatedly that there are no bulbs in that pot!
A good friend of mine from out-of-town is coming for a short visit today. I probably won't have time to post much (if anything) and even less time to visit and comment. I'll catch you next week.

My crocus are just starting to come up but the daffodils are really going to town. And all my roses I planted in the new plot have new growth... yeah!
Enjoy having your friend to stay. You will find we are still hanging around when she has gone.
If I see the squirrels.....
Have a wonderful visit and do fun things. See ya when you get back.
Who knows? Maybe by next week spring will have come to greet us.
Our daffs have been teetering on the edge of bloom for a few days now - I suspect today, with the temps supposed to reach 70, will be the day they spring forth. Can't wait!
Have fun with your buddy!
Hope you're having a great visit with your friend Judy...have lots of fun. See ya soon...
I tell our squirrels the same thing :)
Have a good visit :)
Have a nice time!
although the snow is gone, the only hint of flowers are up next to the house. I took a hike this evening along the old railroad grade, out through a swamp, thinking I'd see some skunk cabbage rising in the mud. DIdn't see any, it must know that it's going to snow again on Saturday.
Sprung is springing including here. I took some photos on the weekend when I gardened and hope to get them up soon.
When you mentioned squirrels, it reminded me of when my family had leftover Thanksgiving food on the bar in our garage and the squirrels got into the french silk pie... I'm sure you can imagine the mess! ;)
