More Ephemera

Front and reverse of a card that came with a set of silver plate that belonged to my grandmother. I wonder what it's worth today? Wouldn't it be nice if we could buy sets of silverplated ware for $39.75!

There have been many times I wished I had one of these summonses to place on the windshield of a car that was parked in a sloppy fashion. Too bad that pad has been stuffed in a file cabinet. (for at least 25 years!) From now on, it will be in my car so I can get one when I need it!!

And another thing......

I was reminded today how much it bothers me when people decide to make a left turn but they don't get all the way into the turn lane, so the back end of their car is sticking out into my lane and I can't move until they do. There oughta be a law!$%^&*@#$!!

And would you remind me not to eat like a fat pig next time I go out with my neighbors? I've been paying for it all day!

I'm getting rid of most of my silver and brass and allowing someone else to have the joy of cleaning it:)

My great aunt willed her sterling silver to me (place settings for twelve) and I gave it to my daughter. I wanted to add a table spoon to the set for a Christmas present. I don't remember the price, but I know it was more than I can afford. I am sure you would have to add one zero to the price now - maybe two.

I love that Notice of Inconsideration. I wonder if I can find something like that online. It would come in so handy in our neighborhood.

I think we should have those paint guns and just zap the really bad driver's cars. Then the police could just pick them up.... we would be doing our civic duty! ;)

I love the fake summons. Inconsiderate parking and abuse of disabled parking bays have been a popular topic on Irish Blogs of late.

I love the summons! I also gave my daughter all my silver...didn't want to polish it anymore.

Oh, I'd love a pad of those parking tickets!!!

Especially one that said "for parking in a disabled space when you have no disabled parking badge. You, an able-bodied citizen, are taking the space of one who cannot walk far. GET OUT!"

Right, that's my rant off my chest for today!!

Why am I never surprised to read of your innumerable collections Judy??

Loved the Notice of Inconsideration. Guess I would have to use "other" for those who abuse the handicapped spaces.
When you get fully retired, the road rage will go away. You have all the time in the world to put up with the nuts and they only garner your sympathy. Just think, someone has to live with them.

Hard not to eat a lot when one goes out, isn't it? Of course, I can eat a lot at home, too...lol!

I have silverplate that I bought through Gulf gas when I was living in Cincinnati. I don't remember how much it costs, but I still enjoy using it.
