A Pretty Face.......

is like a melody.....

A pretty girl is like a melody
That haunts you night and day

Just like the strain of a haunting refrain
She'll start upon a marathon
And run around your brain

You can't escape, she's in your memory
By morning, night and noon

She will leave you and then come back again
A pretty girl is just like a pretty tune

Lyrics by Irving Berlin

Is that a blue Daffodil? If so it is the first time I have come across one.

I love daffodils! Shocking, huh? They're so hearty and such troopers. I thought I killed all of mine because I had some weeds that would not die and ended up dousing the area (including the daffy straps waiting to died back and make next year's daffs). Killed the weeds and the daffs still came back.

I doused with Round-Up. It's too early for me to talk in whole sentences. I'm off to search for food and play Scrabble Cubes.

They are blooming in my area. Then with freezing rain, then warm and then freezing rain - some do not look to good.

They are so lovely and are up all around here. I had volunteers in my yard but the lawnmower took them out. Need to put a bed in for they really let you know Spring is almost here.

My neighbor has wonderful daffodils that bloom in the Spring. I keep watching for hers. Hopefully, I'll see them soon!

I would call that a narcissus. More delicate than daffodils IMO.
You will know:)

What a great picture - and words.

Is that a jonquil? I thought daffodils were yellow and jonquils were white? Regardless it's a beauty!

Our place is just now starting to become surrounded by daffodils and I love them!

I think I planted mine too late... for some reason I think that if I plant them when they say... then the strange weather around here will have them coming up too soon and the cold snap will get them. Oh well!

Whether it's a Jonquil, Narcissus, or a Daffodil it is beautiful.

Now you have the tune of "A Pretty Girl Is Like a Melody" running through my brain. I am sure I will be singing it all day. The old melodies are still the best.

Daffodils do have that spring flirty charm to them....like they are made to announce the new season of the coming out parties....Debutante Daffs :)
