Calling all Scientists (and then some leftovers)

WHAT the devil is THIS???

Here's a closeup (click to embiggen). This creepy looking worm was crawling on the concrete pool surround this afternoon, so I ran to get the camera. I have never seen a worm with a head like that, have you? Please, someone, tell us what it is!!?? I didn't measure it, but I'd estimate it was about 9" in length.

You want me to pray for WHAT???

A beautiful photo (stolen from somewhere).

I SOOOOOOO need a 100% discount store!! Where can I find one?

Is that anything like awareness? or sweetness? or

Your guest? What about my guest?

Well that's a relief. Who wants homeless rubbish?

When was the last time you had a ham salad sandwich for 30 cents?

I couldn't resist posting this......LOL.

And continuing in the same vein.......I suppose the Vi*gra people would never want this light switch to be turned off.

Road signs are a real indication of what an area is like.

In Virginia you have signs saying "Deer Crossing".

At Yellowstone you have signs saying "Bear Crossing".

In Africa you have signs saying "Elephant Crossing".

And in Washington DC, you have signs saying "Double Crossing".

Judy, at first glance it looks like a tapeworm, but I knew I saw a pic of this before somewhere, so I looked it up. It's a land planarian. They eat earthworms. See here: edis.ifas.ufl.edu/IN206

The hot dog roasters and the Viagra light switch are my favorites...but then, of course they would, wouldn't they. I live for bathroom humor!

And those land planarian photos?

Full-on body SHIVER!

I'd suggest, after seeing that worm-thing, that you pack up and move.

That's a Land Planarian. Native to Asia it's an intruder and eats eathworms. Here is a link to an article that will tell you more:

Loved the signs :)

Yuck. I'm glad I already had lunch. That worm is gross! (and that's from the chick who digs spiders and snakes).

To heck with the ham salad sandwich for 30 cents, I'm going to take the 39 cent banana split!

That worm is HITONIOUS!!!!!
I have no idea what it is, but it is kind of cool in a very hitonious sort of way.

Those hot dog penises are funny. The size of those things in proportion to the stick figure men are what every man dreams of... and women too, I think.

I love the stuff you come up with!

Judy,

I loved the picture of the camel in the water with the Taj Mahal in the background.

I must have been absent from school the day the teacher taught us about camels in India. I honestly never thought about camels being in India until I saw that photograph, then when I looked it up it seems there are thousands of camels there. So, I have learned something new today.

Reading your blog is like going to Cyber School.

That Woolworth's menu got me. My Grandmother and her sister went into Boston for years and shopped at Filene's Basement then went for lunch at the counter in Woolworth's which was right next door. They would dress to go "in town" and on occasion my Mom and Aunt would meet them there. White gloves were in order back then, yes, even at the counter in Woolworth's. You were "in town" after all. Thanks for the memories.

That Viagra switch plate is just tacky enough to be funny. I wonder if the Company actually puts those out or it's a take-off.

I believe that worm is the elusive "Shovel Headed Water Worm"; its on the endangered species list and usually can only be found inhabiting a small island off the coast of Tanzania. I wonder how it got in your yard?

Love the weiner pic!

...and I think the answer to the praying mantis's question would be, "Sex and then a little dinner."

LOL, LOL, LOL.....VERY VERY FUNNY!

Not the worm, of course...I haven't a clue! Never have seen a 9 inch worm and never seen any worm with a head like that!

You outdid yourself this time, especially the last few. The worm's head looks a lot like Dubyas, don't you think?

That worm as sure caused a stir. Found a web site that shows where they are in the USA.

Judy that is a slow worm. I'm not sure of the spelling but they are good news for the garden so treasure it.
