A Moth, a Mix & a Message

The poor tattered and torn moth I found on our deck this morning. I think he led a hard life. It could be that the heat index of 110 today was more than he could bear to think about. I know I don't like thinking about it.

No explanation necessary! Teehee...
================================

About once a week, I click on to my old blog Just Ask Judy, to see how many hits it has. Considering that I quit writing there on Feb. 8, 2007, I am amazed to see how many hits it has received since I started this blog. When I stopped writing there, I had 83,667, and Monday morning there were 98,035. What on earth could bring 14,368 people over 7 months to a blog that has been discontinued? Google, mostly.

When I open Statcounter and check recent keyword searches that led to my blog, I see that "Kukla, Fran & Ollie" is one of the top ones, along with "scary pictures" and "boop boop dittum datum wattum choo" and adult-onset dyslexia"......LOL....or maybe not. I know that many of you have some really funny catch phrase searches that led people to your blogs. Or maybe they are dirty strings of words guaranteed to find items of prurient interest. Not me....mine are odd, maybe, but never prurient, and that's okay by me. Someday, my grandchildren will happen onto these posts, and I want what they find to be no more than PG-13 (and maybe they will see a good new word and have to look it up.....LOL.

==========

This post will remain at the top for a short time. I am leaving town, but mr. kenju will kitty-sit and hold down the fort here at home. I will be without a computer for the duration. Look for me again sometime on Monday next, and be good while I am gone. Promise you won't write anything award-winning until after next Monday, okay?

The pic of the truck made me chuckle!

The different words that lead popel to blogs are strange aren't they? However, I must be something wrong as your old blog has had twice as many hits as my current one! As you say though, some visitors I could do without! I'm always happy when great folk like yourself are kind enough to drop by adn leave a comment :)

I once named a photo album that I had posted "Bob and Maria's Good Time Album" What a mistake that was. I found a lot of porno folks looking for something much hotter than our trip down the river on a paddle boat. LOL

Have a wonderful time at the reunion. You are very trusting...I wouldn't leave Steve with that moth! I have never really looked into my stats...i'll have to do that next time I get an update.

Funny logos. Reminds me of a laundry ad years ago, "Why kill your wife, let us do the dirty work!"

Have never thought about words and titles for my blog or posts within the context of alphabetical listing, or search attraction. Whatever happens, happens in terms of any readers I have.

Have had trouble posting on some Blogger blogs, including yours. Sometimes seems to be my recent DSL connection problems, other times think it's Blogger. I don't know! At least I think this will get through ... maybe?

Hot here in "Hot-lanta" also

I went to the library yesterday and when I came out the outside temp on my car read 116. Of course that was in the blazing sun of an asphalt parking lot.

Have a good time and I promise not to write anything good while you are gone.

Oh, darn, too late! I just wrote War and Peace II and published it through Lulu.

I guess we can just hope it is not a best-seller.

Safe travel, Judy. I'm sure you'll return with ever-perceptive thoughts from your trip.

Hi Mr. Kenju. Thanks for keeping things on the level while your beloved is away.

I feel sad for the poor moth. I hope he (she?) is in a better place now.

Oh, I think you'll like the outcome of this week's Caption This. Details on my blog tomorrow. Enjoy!

the truck is hilarious!

and i, too, have had some very interesting google searches that led people my way. i had to look up the word 'prurious'...but sad to say, some have been. google's searches are funny in that the words don't have to be all together.

Perhaps you and I can join forces with our knowledge of adult-onset conditions...I get a lot of hits for "adult-onset acne." :)
