Sitting in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant today, I was jarred by the door of the red Explorer in the slot next to me. The woman opened her back door and literally smashed it into my car - with me sitting there in it - plain as day. When I opened my window and said "Geeze, lady, try not to hit my car next time!", she said "I couldn't help it." The smirk on her face made me want to wipe it off, but you know where that would have gotten me (jail, probably.)

That is SO maddening!
Just reading this gets my dander up. The gall of some people is incredible. I hope it didn't mar the car.
Those little things can really work a number on your blood pressure. Hope the car was not damaged, but I would have checked closely and not let her leave until I did so.
What lack of class for her to smirk. Glad you didn't end up in jail. We would miss you.
I wouldn't have wanted to WIPE that smirk off her face; I would've wanted to SLAP that smirk off her face.
Oh pleeeeze Judy….
If you don’t have the forethought and insight to know that one of the “privileged and entitled” may at any time park next to you on any given day, then you need more training. Some of us are put here on this earth for the sole purpose of being someone else’s doorstop - so suck it up like the rest of us doorstops!
What a jerk! Excuses instead of apologies brings out the worst of the human race.
That would totally have P-ed me off and yeah, probably gotten you in more trouble than her so good for you for being the 'bigger' person and at least you acknowledged it!
This happens to me a few times..a simple, "I am sorry" can create some positive vibes. But, some people walk around with so much of annoyance over many things in life, and at times they react rudely to everything around.
How rude!
These are the moments that make me realize why I always wanted to train as a boxer.
Scary, but true..Or, she could have whipped out a gun!
Some people shouldn't be allowed behind a wheel.
You were very controlled, I'd say. I would have probably jumped out and screamed like the 73-year-old threatening grandma that I am. And she would probably have shot me.
