I'm back working at the flower shop this week, getting ready for the onslaught of Mother's Day customers. The family of geese came to visit again. When I saw them marching up the sidewalk toward the shop, I grabbed my camera and prepared to shoot a pic through the window, but the owner said to go outside to do it. Once the geese saw me coming with the camera, they beat a hasty retreat to the grass. Papa goose nearly hissed at me. I think he was none too happy to see me there. It's too bad I didn't take a photo through the window too, since I would have been able to see the babies close-up. They were truly precious!
I kept shooting, hoping to get a really good pic of the babies, but this is as good as it gets. Maybe they'll make the same trek tomorrow. I'll be ready!
I made about 55 arrangements today and will probably have to do as many (or more) tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. Whew!
Thanks for asking: my sunburn is slowly turning tan, but it is still fairly red. I burn easily and tan slowly, if ever. The aloe vera gel has really gotten a workout here these last few days! I used to freckle if I even thought about going out in the sun, but now they all clump together into age spots (oh, joy!)

Too bad for us you're so busy; we could use all them photos you're missing out on.
With all of the melting going on around here we have a few "deep puddles." We have duckies swimming in them!!!
Aloe vera is a great staple to keep as a plant in the house!! Love the Canadian Geese pics.
Aren't they cute!
cute
I like them better than the frog in your last post. Do be careful. At charging goose or hissing goose deserves respect.
Those babies are adorable - we have a real goose problem in our city park - you can barely walk for the mess - I don't mind but there are a lot of complaints:)
I always felt a bit sorry for florists on Mother's Day. Thank you for helping us all feel loved.
cute babies.
Geese are great to watch but they have some really nasty poo. Ickers.
These Birds are Darling! Very sweet pictures, Judy....And I hope you get some more today...!
I cannot get over the number of arrangements you made....! Congratulations on that! I guess Mothers Day is one of the Biggest Floral Days, isn't it....Which reminds me...I need to send some flowers to my friend Betty!
Be ready with your camera because usually the geese follow the same path daily. We used to watch a family at my parent's house.
How has the gas price affected your flower prices? I heard the other day that florists were either cutting their number of delivery trips or raising prices.
Just precious!!
Aw, bless the little balls of fluff! It sounds like the adult geese are really good parents :)
We have a pair in the lake near where I work but the pair of swans keep trying to oust them.
We saw the Canadian Geese for the first time up in Ohio, they were very uh... "assertive!"
Beautiful birds though!
I have fallen behind in my blogging and am trying to get caught up again. I hope you're feeling better now (post below), don't get sick again from all this work you're doing for Mother's Day!
I love your geese friends. I hope you get a few days off soon - and especially Mother's Day!
55 arrangment in ONE DAY?
Yikes!
those geese need to learn not to stick there necks out... they can be mean, especially when young are around. They've taken over a local park. The park use to be a fish hatchery (hence the name Fish Hatchery Park) but locals often call it geese poop park!
I have 3 skin colors
pale, burnt, peeling
as for age spots - they're just freckles with character.
love the babies.
55!!! That's a lot of work!
I was wondering if your hubby and kids ever get you flowers??? It seems you may be tired of them with all the work you do.
You got some good shots even if you didn't get the babies up close.
I hope they come back to visit again.
