Odds and Ends + A Birthday Party

Bloggers Renn, Tiff, Biff and Kenju meet with Renn's friends to celebrate her birthday (along with husband Chachi and daughter Nooze)

The truly fabulous birthday cake; four layers of dark chocolate/coffee goodness, separated by butter cream icing and topped by chocolate ganache. Heaven in a bite - baked by the cute blond on the left! She calls it "World Peace" cake, since no one who eats a slice could ever want to fight anyone!!  (You might be in a sugar coma afterward....lol)

It took the birthday girl four tries to blow out all the candles!  (She's not old enough to get winded that quickly!)
Our resident hawk lost something on our deck this morning. It is 12" long!

In case you can't enlarge it, the graphic shows an android peeing on an apple logo!

I think I just gained 5 pounds looking at the delicious cake. I could almost taste it. Unfortunately, almost isn't good enough.
