Kind of makes one feel good that the oldies are not buried and forgotten. As for your problem that you wrote about, I find "comment" almost impossible to type it correctly the first time.
I don't know about Blogger, but TypePad gives one the option of closing their blog(s) to search engines - which I have done from the beginning. As a result, I feel much better about having all of my stuff hang around and have only been the object of two or three spam comments in eight years. I like it. Obviously, this is not for everyone! Interesting!!!! I get them on old posts, too, but they're usually spam.

I've had this happen, too. It always feels weird, though, knowing your "stuff" is out there permanently via Google.
