Prestonwood Country Club ballroom.

A gorgeous peony. This arrangement of peonies and allium was in the lobby of the country club. Allium below.

The first arrangement is perfect IMO. My first real peony is about to open -just when I'm going on holiday.
I have kept two of my allium heads - they are surprisingly strong and I sprayed then with gold.

I haven't decided how I feel about peonies.
Oh!!! I was having trouble with the squirrels in my rose garden, under the bird feeder and climbing on the patio table. They sharpen their teeth on the fence and scrape off the black coating. I worry they would start doing the same on the patio set. I was going to try some spray and crystals that smell like fox to them but I found an ultrasonic machine, small that you plug in outside and it covers 4000 sq ft. It is made for outdoor use. Daisy doesn't seem bothered by it, but after the first day of use.. almost a week now.. I haven't seen one squirrel on the patio or in the back yard. I see them occasionally out behind the fence but they don't come in the yard. Cross the fingers... so far so good.

Just so you'll know:

I didn't do any of those arrangements, it was either Mel or Pam who did them.

That is so lovely, it makes me want to throw rice! Beautiful, beautiful flowers. You might be a floral genius.

Now I really like that staircase. Just the kind for a guy with a mustache to carry you up.
