Beauty and the Bad

This one is supposed to be turned to the right, but I can't get it to do that now.

It's looking better, but it's still bad! I took two frogs out of the pool this morning and the hawk was very interested! I saw him fly off the deck and the pump house into the trees twice, as I went out onto the deck. One of the frogs is still sitting there and the other is gone. Either the hawk got him or he jumped back in the pool.

You know the building in New York where the IMF guy is now staying?   The one at 71 Broadway?  That's where my daughter lived for 18 months. It's 2 blocks from the World Trade Center location. Although it is a very nice building, with nice apartments, it must be quite a comedown for a man who is used to $3000 per night hotel suites!  lol

Love the flowers!!!! You have interest visitors at your pool!

As to the sleazy IMF guy, sounds like a great place for him and I hope he gets a nice long stay somewhere equally nice. What he did was unconscionable!

That pool is going to look really, really good very soon.. when those temps get on up into the 90's.

It is definitely a lighter shade of green.
Sounds like the IMF guy may have come down to someplace I would consider up. Just wish he were more uncomfortable.

Some days you're the hawk, and some days you're the frog.

Flowers rarely do what I wa nt them todo. I'm just grateful if they don't topple over.

The pool is greatly improved.

If I had to bet, I'd put my money on the hawk. I've seen them grab one of my chickens and be off in the blink of an eye. Star's comment is great.

It is a little early for roses here and just as well, 70mph winds swirling outside all morning. I am staying well battened down.

The circle of life plays out in Judy's kidney's shaped pool. Love the imagery of it all.

Friends are getting their pool ready, as well, and two ducks have taken up residence in it. I love how these places of relaxation for us can become havens for others.

Or, in the case of the hawk, lunch.

:)

I think the City of New York should treat the IMF guy to a nice room at Riker's Island.

That is exactly where he deserves to be....

Those roses are so gorgeous...always my favorite. Your pool looks a heck of a lot better even though it's not completely done. Hey, maybe you saved those frogs from being hawk food for now, but I'm not sure they'll be so lucky next time.
