Tenderness,Compassion,Sympathy and Tolerance

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.

George Washington Carver, scientist (1864-1943)

Love the quote & I love George Washington Carter. I read his autobi twice when I was 9 from my grade school library. When the teacher in charge of the library saw what I was reading, she took it from me and told me I should'nt be reading it. The book was never put back on the shelf. I didn't understand then but I do now. It was a terrible shame, never did like that teacher after that.
