Newspaper Headlines Are Speaking to Me...?

The Sunday paper was thin this week; unexpectedly so, since after-Easter sales are looming and ads galore are the usual fare. But two bold headlines spoke to me:

One:   CAM - my recently deceased friend's name (short for Camilla). This story referred to the new Contemporary Art Museum, called CAM, which is opening in a new building next Saturday.

Two:   "STORM takes painful toll....". Of course this one refers to the recent tornado damage suffered by many counties in North Carolina.

I, however, choose to believe that they are messages from my dearly departed Cam and Storm, my cat. It's comforting, somehow. Thanks go out to all of you who left messages, both here and on Facebook. It is nice to know you understand.

Judy,

I'm sorry to be so late in expressing my condolences in the loss of both your friend and your beloved cat,Storm.

You are in my thoughts...

I'm sorry about your cat - I lost mine to kidney disease last August and it broke my heart. I sure miss her. And I think those things you mention are a sign.

I think in times of sorrow, we find comfort in odd places. Hope these "signs" were a comfort to you. Take care of yourslef. You've suffered two big losses.

You have my sympathy. I have yet to experience the loss of a friend, however I can definitely relate to the loss of a beloved cat. I have said goodbye to many loyal kitties over the years. I can't imagine having to face both losses together. I am so sorry.

They are just saying - 'Hi! Don't fret too much.'

I am a big believer in synchronicity--and messages constantly being sent. We are usually not in the moment enough to catch them. I don't know what the great beyond looks like but I have an image of Cam and Storm cavorting in a field of daisies!

Isn't that eerie how words can jump out to you like that? I hope it was a comfort and I choose to believe that they both were signs telling you that they would be with you forever.
