Resolutions?

Nah, I know when I'm ahead. If I made resolutions, they would be broken all too soon - so I don't bother. How about you? Do you participate in this exercise in futility that many of us do around the first of any year?

There is always (not just on 1-1-11) an idea fogging up my brain, and it often has something to do with getting in shape - starting to walk - going to the health club (on a regular basis and doing more than sitting in the hot tub) - or even trying to minimize the amount of food I eat......but seldom does any of that get accomplished and I think it is better if I don't set up unattainable goals for myself and then get all depressed about how I have no willpower.

And that's enough about that.

We un-decorated the Hampton Inn at Brier Creek and Brier Creek Country Club today. It surely does come down more quickly than it goes up. But please tell me why there are always fewer boxes than we originally had? Either that or the ornaments gang up and multiply over the summer just to confuse us. Tomorrow we do the Cardinal Club and The Capital City Club, and then I'll be a free agent until the heavy wedding season.  I hope to be working for Valentine's Day, but no one has asked me yet , so if you know of a local florist who needs help in February - let me know!

I decided to give up on resolutions years ago. This morning I decided that resolutions weren't what I needed so I'm considering a revolution instead and consider some major changes that are rattling around my poor damaged brain.

I always forget that when you put up all those lovely decorations, you have to take them down and that's not nearly as much fun as putting them up!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Hah, as noted in my blog...my motto; Just say NO to resolutions :) yeah, there are the thoughts of getting in shape, losing weight, exercising more but how long does that acutally last? about long enough to damn myself for making it in the first place :)

I don't wait for a new year to make resolutions. If I want to change something in my life, I start right away. There's nothing much I feel like changing at the moment. Things are OK the way they are. :-)
Happy New Year!

Ok, I'm a sucker for them and even with my puny rate of 3 notable successes out of 65 tries(I didn't start till I was six), I refuse to be daunted. Ever the optimist.I made the usual.
Hope you enjoy your down time. Relax.

I am so stupid - it wasn't until I read this that I realized today is 1-1-11! *head smack*

Anyway, stopping by to wish you a happy new year!

Hmm... I always seem to need MORE boxes taking them down. This year I have to go get a few more at Walmart as several of my flap lid plastic containers bit the dust this year. I have started but with just one of me to do all the work... it will take a while.

I am sick of my same old resolutions. I've decided I DON'T want to lose weight or eat healthy or exercise. My goal is to make goals I actually want to keep. Like going out to lunch more often.

Nope...no resolutions here either Judy. I'm never good at keeping them, and I don't need the guilt when I break them. Happy New Year sweetie....many blessings to you and your family. ~Joy

Happy New Year! So you resolved to make no resolutions?

No, I don't do them. When I feel I need to change something about myself, I do it then :)

I know you'll find work because you do great work :)

My only resolution is not to make any Judy, have a happy new year.

I don't do resolutions either. No need to as I would probably just break them.:)

Have a good rest until Valentine's Day decorating. And Happy New Year

I've never made any resolutions, but I am reflective at each New Year, so perhaps that counts for something!
