Odds & Ends

If this is the way to banish fat, I'll never be thin!! Can you imagine ingesting tapeworms???

One of Mel's bouquets for the 10-10-10 weddings.

Smedes Hall on the campus of St. Mary's School in Raleigh. It is on the Historic Register. Mel had a wedding reception here recently.

A centerpiece for a recent Asian wedding at the NCSU Park Alumni Club. (I didn't do these.)

The Victorians had some strange 'medical' treatments. If you weren't eaten up by tapeworms, you were electrocuted by electric 'treatments'!

I'd love to lose a few pounds but I think I'll give the tape worms a miss thanks!

A big no to using the tapeworms. But can't you imagine the little side ad for them on FB?

Those flowers are gorgeous!

And I remember reading about that tapeworm thing - wonder what the long term effects of that was?

Now that first advertisement is just simply.... well, gross!!!!!

I am going up to Williamsburg today to have lunch with Beverly. My mom is going too. She wanted to go to one of the outlets for something and for once we have no doctor's appointment. I do hope they have a little fall color there.

Those bouquets are a sight for sore eyes.
The thought of tape worms give me the willies.

That tapeworm thingy tried to resurface in the late 60's. It never went over.
I wasn't too grossed out by the fact till I saw a dog pass live ones.

When you reach your desired weight on the tapeworm diet, how do you then expel the worms? Yikes!!!

Love you picture of leaves as your header.

As usual, Mel's arrangements are spectacular as are yours.

I love the colour in your new Header, Judy.

Thankfully I am thin and have no need to try the tape worms. Yeuch!
