The Dovecote at Fearrington

As usual, the photos went on the blog in reverse order. I know, I know -  it's user error. All the things you see here are available at the charming shop I told you about yesterday. You can see their web-site if you go back one post and follow the links. I call the one above "A bucket of Love."
They have amusing signs, soft and cuddly stuffed animals, a whole wall of spa products, each one more luxurious than the next.

Cute moss dogs with bandannas and purses galore. Do you prefer green or orange? If that's not your bag, they have black, white, coral, yellow ocher and everything inbetween!
Small trays with pithy sayings....brain coral from the sea,
T-shirts to advertise your whereabouts or where-I've been's...in every color imaginable. The banded cows are called belted Galloways. They are the symbol for Fearrington Village, chosen by the people who started the village many years ago. And one last photo from the luncheon...see the "gathering" on the wall? It's an ingenious use of farm and garden implements, all painted the same color. I want to make a similar one for my pool pump house, and paint it the same color as the pool water!

Wold you believe I still have photos to show you? Tomorrow, or in a few days, I'll show you the rest of them.
I'm working this weekend; helping to do and deliver floral arrangements and decor for the Jim Valvano Cancer Research Gala Events. Posting, visiting and commenting will have to take a back seat to work, but I'll return!

Looks a fascinating place. I love those bird pictures - however did you find time to eat with all the shop to wander round??

So many charming wonderful goodies in this store....! I love soft soft stuffed animals--particularly Bears, but not exclusively. Great photo's Judy, and I look forward to more....

Sweetie IS home, my dear. He's been home since last Saturday....! Thanks for your visit and your good wishes for my little special guy.

The moss dog really caught my eye.

This reminds me of an area here called Peddlar's Village. Did you buy anything? Those coral bags are a great color!

Beautiful, cute, clever and fragile items. It makes me tremble to enter a store like that for fear of knocking stuff off tables or shelves. I am a bit of a klutz.

No, I didn't buy anything, but two of the women bought purses and one also bought greeting cards (and mentioned how expensive they were, as she paid for them)

That looks like a great place to pick up unusual and pretty gifts for people. I read back a bit to catch up and am glad to hear you had a nice lunch there :)

Would have loved to have perused those Tees and those moss dogs look like they would take a biscuit from you.
Coral is my color.

"The Gathering" caught my eye too, trying to figure out how to recreate something like it with all the "found" stuff in my house for our deck. A shop with much imagination.

What a charming shop filled with tempting goodies (that I don't need)

I've had brunch at Fearrington and I recall that it was pretty pricey!
Really neat place though.
I'm glad you're helping with the Jim Valvano events. I remember him well and applaud all the cancer research that is held in his memory.
