It's Always Something....

This guy was found swimming in my pool early in the morning. When I scooped him out, he looked up at me as if to ask why I took him out. I was afraid of the effects that chlorine might have on him, so I placed him in the woods behind the house.

This beetle was spotted on the driveway last week, just before the pressure washer appeared to begin work. I should have put something beside him so you'd know how large he was. I think he was at least 2" long from nose to back end.

I am working the next two days, so visiting and commenting will be sparse. Catch you later.

Well, those two specimens of wildlife look much better than skunks!!

Sweet little turtle - we don't get those here!

I think the word is out. Show up at Kenju's for your photo shoot & blog appearance. :). That turtle really has some interesting markings. Nature is amazing.

Criminy that bug is ugly. Good rescue on the turtle though. Wonder if he will bleach out.
Don't work too hard.

We are overrun with black swallowtail butterflies and caterpillars... and Japanese beetles too, unfortunately. Say, if that tortoise eats beetles, you can send him our way.

Have you ever counted all of the critters you have rescued from your pool drain?
