A Woman's Poem

©Unknown

He didn't like the casserole
And he didn't like my cake,

He said my biscuits were too hard

Not like his mother used to make.

I didn't perk the coffee right

He didn't like the stew,

I didn't mend his socks

The way his mother used to do.

I pondered for an answer

I was looking for a clue.

Then I turned around and

smacked the shit out of him....

Like his mother used to do.

I love a good poem, don't you?!?!

LOL! Rich and I were just at that point where we were getting on each other's nerves in Florida and then we came here and after 24 hours, when I dropped him at the airport and we are facing 4-6 weeks apart, well, we were both in tears. So there you go.

That little poem has to be so true but sadly the men fail to remember how mother stood up for herself.

LOL. that's a timeless one. haven't seen that before.

in a way it condones violence and spousal abuse. on the other hand, it's funny.
