Last Week at the Flower Shuttle

A few of the arrangements I did last week. Bear in mind that we use donated flowers, so we never know in advance what we will have to work with. The containers are all small (like coffee cups) and we also have bud vases and other small vases to use.

They all have to be small enough to fit easily into cardboard boxes, so that they can be delivered to hospices, nursing homes, rehabs, etc., without crushing.

They are so beautiful! I love that one on the windowsill with what looks like Canterbury Bells, and Lilies - very pale and subtle colours. Gorgeous!

I love the Flower Shuttle idea! Are the donations from weddings or grand dinners? I would love to see the room before you all start to work. You know... the before and after photos. It would really help us appreciate the full extent of your talents.

What a wonderful thing you all do. Each of those would really brighten the life of someone feeling a bit forgotten.

They are lovely. Sure to brighten anyone's day. You would never know you are working with what was leftover.

It was so nice to see these pictures this morning. The flower shuttle is such a good idea and it must be such a satisfying use of your talent.

I love all the arrangements
I have always preferred smaller arrangements to big giant ones
the smaller ones can be moved about and can be kept safe from the cats

What a lovely idea for florists to do.... I know it really brightens up the day for many of those residents, especially those who have no routine visitors.

What a lovely idea and what beautiful creations you have made. I love to garden but I am afraid when I pick flowers to put in a vase they get very stubborn and do what they like not at all like yours. I found your Blog through Grannymar. I am glad I did. It's lovely
