:-/ Swim Suit Time :-\

Penneys carries D*lta Burke swimwear, and if you are above a size 14, as I am, her offerings are fairly nice, and they won't break the bank. I like that many of them are separates, too, so if you are a different size on the top than the bottom, you have less of a problem getting a decent fit.

On Monday, I went to see what they had in stock. We go to the health club pool and hot tub several times a week and I am down to one suit (the lower half of which I hate), so I need a new one. I found a solid black bottom piece with a small skirt, and a hot pink and black fern print on top. They fit well enough and I bought them. I opened the bag when I got home and found one of those large plastic security tags - the kind that if you try to remove them yourself - you get a shirt full of ink and 2 ruined pieces of clothing. I was SO ticked off. That meant another trip to the store to get the darn thing removed.

However, you know about that silver lining thing? Well, when I went back to have the tag removed, I went downstairs to the rest room and after that, I went to the pillow department, to see what they might have. Not only did I find some perfect pillows on sale, I ran into an old work acquaintance I had not seen in at least five years. It was nice to play catch up, and had the tag not been left on the suit, I would have missed seeing Tim. So, in the end I was thankful that the tag was not removed. See? It's all in how you look at it.

How did you manage to get out of the store with the security tag still there??

All hell is let loose around here - bells, sirens, whistles and Security men approaching at a run! ;)
And that's just Tesco!

I am going to check out the swimwear. Thanks for the tip. I had the same thing with the security tag happen to me on two different occasions at Sears. Obviously the door alarms did not go off when I exited but they did sound on the way in when I went back.

Star, mine didn't go off on the way back into the store either. It must have been a dud.

You amaze me each year that you shop for swimwear. I just don't have what it takes.
Yesterday I had to visit a friend in the hospital and just getting into my spring wear clothes was depressing. Think April 1st I will take up eating again.
Good to know about Pennys though if I ever take the plunge.

It's hard for me to even contemplate swimwear while we still a bit of snow on the ground. Interesting that exited the store with that security tag still attached. I had no idea such a thing was possible.

Oh I don't like to shop for swimsuits. But that trip turned into a silver lining for sure for you.

I love this story, Judy...And it is often true---there is a Silver Lining....On the other hand....lol!
It is amazing you were able to leave the story without all the Alarms going off....

A clerk left the security tag on the hem of a dress I bought and neither one of us noticed it until I left the store. When I walked through the security exit the danged thing started making a terrible racket. Do you know how loud they are? Everyone in the Mall looked at me and I was mortified.

To add injury to insult, the security code tore a hole in the dress and they didn't have another one. I really liked that dress, so I was doubly mortified when I walked out the next time with no package. You know what it looked like, of course.

Yes...it's always in the way we look at things. Turning annoyances into opportunities and lemons into lemonade.
