I'd say the fox is in big trouble.

Did the eagle manage to fly with that fox struggling underneath iot? I do wonder if he had bitten off more than he could chew, so to speak!

But they are incredible photos, and Golden Eagles are HUGE! I've seen them soaring in Scotland, far, far away, and they still look huge!

Oh no. I am a huge fox lover but also a bird lover. I am torn. I would never have thought it possible.

I am in shock. Never would have guessed this could happen.

Naomi, I am in the same boat as you.
It seems that all the old posts are gone on using Safari. Weird.

THis morning I was opening the french door to the deck to clean a window and a large bird swooped around the deck not three feet away and out to sit on the fence. It was the hawk.... doesn't look like he caught his breakfast though... no pile of feathers in the yard.

I find this almost frightening.
It could pick up some of us.

I showed the photos to my two Maltese and told them "See what can happen." When they were puppies, Bob and I would not let them out in the yard unless we were with them or they were in a covered pen. Hawks are often spotted around our area.

Crazy. Although a fox isn't necessarily that much heftier than a large rabbit- there's a lot of fluff in the long tail. Still. Our bald eagle, Spirit, had a wing span of 7 feet and she was smaller than a golden eagle.

Well, I'm having the same problem...I can't see any posts except this one and the heading for Retirement....nothing else.

When I stopped by your blog late last night all I saw was the word Retirement....nothing else. I thought you were trying to tell us something Judy. I was afraid you were giving up blogging. I was relieved to see a post here this morning. Still, I don't know why I and several others can't see anything else on your blog. ~Joy
