Wonders Never Cease!

Here's a very interesting site!

*******

The body shop released my van to me on Tuesday. You know how you feel when you get home after a long trip? I was right at home and so comfortable sitting in it. It was like sliding into your own bed after a week in a hotel. Plus, they had buffed out some scratches on the tail gate that were there before the accident - so I was very happy with them! They also had an alignment done, so the car is riding better than ever. I've never named a car before, but I've decided to name this one (since I love it so much).....I'll call her Vanessa (for obvious reasons.....LOL

Working in the flower shop this week is keeping me from visiting many of you, or having time to comment. I used to routinely work 8-10 hours on my feet, but I'm finding that 4 hours is quite enough nowadays, thank you! I'm simply not willing to push myself like I used to. I enjoy the work and the people, but this place is too small for the number of people who work on a big holiday like Valentine's Day. We constantly bump butts - a current commercial on TV calls them "moon landings".....LOL. I am used to working where I can see everything at once; all the flowers are within view, not scattered over the space of 3 rooms and a cooler. Just about the time I locate a bucket of something I want, someone comes along and moves it so that the next time I look for it, it is a scavenger hunt all over again. That really wastes time and energy and wasting anything is stressful to me. Just three more days and it will all be over for another year! I'm really looking forward to getting back to wedding work with Mel!

What an interesting site! Takes a long time for a bridge to grow, though. Would never do in our "instant" society!

So glad you have got your van back. I know how you feel about it feeling like home!!

Our garage wash the car for us whenever they have it. Hope you get back soon to your normal floristing. (I just made up a word;)
Love the natural bridges and they look much safer than some of the man made ones.

Here's hoping that Vanessa will keep you safe and happy for a very long time.
I guess, that next to Mother's Day, this is your busiest time, Judy. You'll really need a long rest after this.

Boy they could have rebuilt your van in amount the time they have had it. So glad she is "better" than before.
Don't work too hard and be careful that those "moon landings" don't affect your alignment.

Thanks for sharing.

Those bridges are amazing. They remind me of movie depictions of prehistoric times.

Good luck with the flower arranging. Only two more day until the Valentine's celebration. Glad you have Vanessa back.

What a great compliment to the company that repaired your van. One rarely gets something back that is better than before.

I'm glad you are pacing yourself in your work! It's time.

Our vehicles become like extensions of ourselves. Too bad I keep mine such a mess.

Enjoy the flowers and then put your feet up .

Ah! Valentine's Day... that day when those of us who do not have Valentines simply like to forget. But a great weekend for florists... I personally would rather have something more practical. Perhaps a shrub or flower to plant outside that will last many years.

CONGRATULATIONS on "Vanessa"....I know the feeling you speak...Like the Old Comfortable Show...!

I don't know how you do it Judy....It sounds very very stressful, my dear....And though I'm sure you LOVE working with the flowers themselves---trying to find them has to be a bit aggravating, especially when you thought you knew where they were.
I was talking to Van and he said Valentine's Day is a HUGE Day for Flowers....So I can imagine how busy busy busy this place is!
