Years before my heart attack my doctor tried to tell me 168/95 bp was okay. I'm doomed to dementia unless finally getting it under control has helped. (That same doctor gave me a complete physical and an excellent report the day before my near fatal MI.) Judy this is a good word to share. Thanks!

The best protection against dementia is to eat and live healthily, fresh air, exercise and use your brain. Then its in the lap of the gods.

So far I am winning on both battles but who knows what tomorrow brings.
Excellent advise for those ignoring the "silent killer".

Wow - this is a concern. My blood pressure is "borderline" high right now. I saw something the other day that said following a Mediterranean diet lessens your chances of getting dementia considerably.

3 meds daily, diet changes and my BP is within normal range. I am sure dementia will get me anyway.

I have high blood pressure and people claim I'm demented already. So it's too late for me.

I posted about the laughing yoga class I went to this week. In writing a story about it for the paper the research I did talked about all the studies on the benefits of laughter, one being lowering blood pressure.
