Busy day yesterday. Chiropractor, pharmacy, lunch with mr. kenju and two of his friends, haircut for him, another pharmacy and home, without buying furnace filters or transferring money from one account to another. That will have to wait, and since we are due to get anything from freezing rain to ice to 7-10" of snow tonight - it will have to wait until sometime next week. The second pharmacy took quite some time. I think every elderly person in the county was picking up prescriptions in advance of the winter storm warnings. I was seventh in the line and when I left there were three more behind me. Some left in disgust. To make it worse, the clerk seemed new to the job and took forever to ring up purchases.

While mr. kenju was getting a haircut, I went to Goodwill and bought five books; a Grisham, a Cornwell, two Nelson De Mille's and a book titled "Woman of the House..The Rise of Nancy Pelosi". When I picked him up after the haircut, I handed the book to him as a late birthday present. He was mildly amused.....lol. He knew Nancy in college and he might get the book autographed the next time he goes to D.C., but he's not a big fan.

My younger daughter is moving back to Raleigh soon and yesterday morning I saw the town home she will move into next month. I am loving it and I know she will. I doubt she'll let me show you the photos, but I'll check and see. It looks almost new; the guy who has been living there for 2-3 years admitted he has only used the oven once and has never run the dishwasher. The home inspector checked it all out yesterday, to make sure everything works well. I'm looking forward to visiting her there; if I get mad at mr. kenju, I have someplace close by to go!

Just loved that one! How very true. Though quite often its because I can't remember the other one! Old age, you know!

It will be lovely for you to have your daughter so near. Mine is near, but 40 mins drive away, a bit too far to go to get away from it all at home!

"A synonym is a word you use if you can't spell the other one." Dang, I thought I was the only one to do that.
So hubby knew Nancy before botox? Interesting.
Your daughter is so lucky moving in after a guy. Unless the previous owner was a cooking show host, the kitchen is virgin.

So far, it's only 4" here, but it began snowing/sleeting again about 8:45.

Judy, I have about 5 to 6 inches of snow. First snow like this in a long time.
I am glad your daughter is moving near. Mine are all about 50 minutes away.

Your jokes made me laugh out loud. I definitely needed that on this rainy morning.

Hope you don't get too much snow or ice.

I envy you having your daughter so close. Mine was just here for 2 1/2 days and I miss her like crazy. I think having minor surgery is the only way I will get her back, but it would be worth it.

We had some light snow here too. We've never had so much in one month!

The guy had never used the dishwasher?? What he washed up by hand?? If it doesn't go in our dishwasher I throw it away! :D
