Quote of Note + a Confession

Man can be the most affectionate and altruistic of creatures, yet he's potentially more vicious than any other. He is the only one who can be persuaded to hate millions of his own kind whom he has never seen and to kill as many as he can lay his hands on in the name of his tribe or his God.

Benjamin Spock, pediatrician and author (1903-1998)

I'm bone tired. I have worked nine out of the last ten days straight and it is finally getting to me. I have to admit that such constant labor is too much for my body. I used to work long, hard hours like this and after a night's sleep, I could get right back to work the next day and be like a new person. That's not happening as well as it used to. The problem is that I still want to do it. I want to be able to do the arrangements, the bows and wreaths and whatever else is asked of me and do an excellent job; one that will make me proud and my employers happy. I suppose I'm going to have to cut back on the hours next year, and it kills me to say that.
Anyone know where I can buy a dose of stamina?

Good quote.
I wish I knew where to get a dose of stamnia, I could use some myself :)

I, like you, find it diffcult to cut back. The desire is there but the body says "no way". No one told me that when I got older my heart would say "you have always done this much and more" and my body would say "can't do it any more."

But, I have cut back little by little.

Hang in there, kiddo. Get some much needed rest.

You know, I was just saying the same thing to a friend. Mentally I think I can do it...physically...I can't :-(

You don't need a dose of stamina, Judy, you sound like you have more than your share already. You need a dose of SANITY! LOL Stop working so hard!

I know how that feels! LOL! Thanks for coming over to answer my questions. I had no idea the "F" place was sold. That was almost a landmark in Raleigh. I remember passing by their beautiful display window as a child. What a shame. I do need to go to the mansion sometime. My daughter may have a field trip there later in the school year. Can't believe I've never been. In fact, I'm coming down around the 21st, and if we have time, maybe we can take it all in. Would love to see your work in person! Take care. Get some rest!

Ahj yes, it does hurt so to have to admit we can't do things like we used to, and still want to!

I could use a bit of stmaina, too - if you find where to buy it let me know!

When I realized I could no longer stimulate my stamina, I started working on a long dormant lazy streak.
I was always the 110 percent employee but I never had the passion for my work you do. "Aye, there's the rub."
Get some rest.

Nothing wrong with just pacing yourself. The work will still get finished, it might just take a bit longer. :-)

Oh My - this post must have been written for me. Still very weary from my last move. Have a number of things to hang on walls that are too heavy. Last move I took care of them. To repeat what someone shared. My mind says I can do it but the body does not agree. I think finally the mind is agreeing also. Rest

The key is to "rest in action" Remember that there is energy (an unlimited supply from the Creator) for everything you NEED (not always want) to do and then focus on that rather than thinking about how hard something is to do. Keep the goal in mind and the joy you will feel with that accomplishment. Then you will be able to do it. j

If you find a cheap supply for stamina, email me, I'll gladly buy another bottle.

Oh do I ever understand, my dear. I empathize with you completely. To be able to 'create' and work at what you love doing is so very satisfting...And then to find you don't have the same kind of bounce-back or energy as you did....Not any fun, I know. I'm sorry you are experiencing this, dear Judy....I know how much your work means to you and how much it gives you. Maybe finding a better way to pace yourself---though at this time of year it seems there isn't a better way exceot what you suggest.
Get some rest, my dear.

Listen to your body. Once you have made up your mind to do the sensible thing ie cut down your hours you will feel enormous benefit. Trust me.

I use my stamina up getting out of bed each morning. However, if I happen across some I'll send it to you. Okay?
