The Galapagos, Part 3

A blue-footed booby. Read the link to find out where the name comes from!!

An iguana (out of his element.)

Iguana gargoyles!

The ocean blue.

Hi, there. I'm smiling.....did you bring me any fish?

A seal sun-bath.

A snow-covered volcano in Ecuador.

Tortoise gargoyles.

Utter relaxation!! Look at the back flipper; hanging off the bench behind the pole. How could he be any more relaxed??

Judy, do you think that last guy does Yoga?

Either he does yoga or he does vodka martinis! Loved the virtual trip.

Hey Judy,

It has been SOOO long since I have visited (sorry) but there has been so much happening of late... Our old blog, burntofferings, has closed after my wifes (39) passing!
ANYWAY, I so love your pics, especially the 'utter relaxation' one, priceless!!!

Take care

Bernie

This is the only place were nice boobies would be appropriate. I love the pictures darlin. I just came back from my am walk and catching the sunrise at Va Beach. Awesome. The waves crashing is so peaceful. Love this place.

Guess I am still surprised to see civilization there. In your mind's eye, this is a place of animal plenty, not buildings. My mind's eys is uneducated.
Love that she could get so close to the wildlife. Unless lotto comes in, this is as close as I can get. Thanks.

All those pics are fantastic!

That blue footed booby is my favorite- right after the lazy guy on the bench.

I had never heard of the blue footed booby. I can see where he got his name, but where did the birds get the name booby? Anyhow, he is a pretty guy and the sleeping beauty is really relaxed. I wish I could sleep like that.

The Galapagos is my dream vacation. I asked for it for our honeymoon, but we only had a few days because of work crap. Instead I got romantic Gettysburg, which it turned out I loved.

Dammit. I want to see a blue-footed booby now more than ever! My inner Marlin Perkins has been reawakened. Thank you.

Excellent photos. I love seeing the sea lions lounging there the way they do here. Wonderful.
