What's your tomato preference? Sliced fresh or fried green? I like both!
Potted roses in many colors everywhere you look!
Old-fashioned cleome. My mom grew this when I was in grade school. The foliage reminds me of marijuana (which I've only seen in photos.....lol).
A squash blossom? The vendor needed something to fill in the middle, didn't she?
Patty pan squash. We ate miniatures (babies) of these years ago at Fearrington House. They were no bigger than a quarter (and about as tasty).

Could I have fried green tomatoes please? I've always fancied them and never had them. I think it is an American thing.
It looks a jolly place and a fun day. I have a thing about impatiens - maybe its because they are so profuse.

Oh those tomatoes are unbelievable. I love green fried tomatoes. There was a restaurant where I used to live that had them on the menu. I never missed an opportunity to have them when I was there.
Our farmers market is a far cry from yours. It is nothing fancy and doesn't have flowers. I am envious.
We have a market like that here - you wouldn't believe how "upscale" the downtown market has become! Our family loves a quick trip there for all kinds of goodies.
I must go find a Farmer's market and a recipe for fried green tomatoes.
Now that is a farmers market. We just have the under a shade tree with food in baskets variety of markets.
Fried green here. We have a place here that makes fried veggie kabobs. Yum.

I think I enjoyed your day as much as you did. The picture of the roses will be shown at our dinner table tonight to convince one of the ladies who just last night insisted that that type of flower isn't properly called a rose.(!?!) Now I have the word of an Expert!

Some very pretty plants...I am partial to Cacti, that is for sure...That Big one---you need to turn your camera, Judy...lol...looks like either a Euphorbia or a Cereus...I need to see a better picture to be able to know for sure....
I've never had Fried Green Tomatoes...But I hear they are FABULOUS!
As close as I have come to fried green tomatoes is the movie (which I loved). I will watch for that recipe and try it out.

I can tell from the pics that your farmer's market is much larger than ours. I love the look of those tomatoes and squash. Yummmy! I've gotten some really good cherry tomatoes this year at our market. I look forward to some good fruit before long.
