This is the view I had when I left work today, and I thought you needed to see it too. Such a pretty sky! (click to enlarge!)
Have you ever heard of Jumping the Broom ? This small floral piece will grace the broom for one of Sunday's weddings. The lavender roses are "cool water"; there is purple larkspur and white wax flower. The foliages are myrtle, ming and eucalyptus. Definitely click to enlarge!
This photo is on its side - it ought to be turned so that Storm's head is at the bottom, but I couldn't get it to turn today. I've told you show she always sleeps on my shoes. Here she is again, on my moccasins; right beside me as I blog and Facebook. My constant companion.
We didn't see the foxes tonight, although mr. kenju said they were on the deck at noon. I saw a few heads pop up around dinner time, but as we were looking for the foxes, we saw a herd of deer pass by the back deck. I suspect the foxes were laying low!
I will be working all day tomorrow; delivering two weddings and preparing for three more on Sunday. On Sunday, I will be delivering - so visiting and commenting will be scant. I'll be back.

LOVE your Kitty on your Mocassins....such a sweet picture!
Don't work to hard, my dear....!
And I hope your Weekend is a good one!
Love the view, the flowers, et al but I love Storm's devotion to you best!!!!
Hope things settle a bit -- I miss your visits.
You must work in a lovely countryaside place! And those roses are gorgeous! Never seen that lovely lavender colour before.
A lovely post. All that wild life on your doorstep. I wonder what kitty thinks of then?
With a sky like that how can one not believe in Heaven?
We have a Bank Holiday here so I don't expect to be blogging much and there's loads to do int he house and garden.
How wonderful that you have wildlife at your door.I am envious.
Now I know why I didn't go into floral design (besides no talent). You have to work weekends and holidays. Still you do get to work with such lovely flowers and you do have the talent. Enjoy.
I have a cat that buries his face in my shoes. I am hoping that is a flattering thing.
My cats, my dog, my chickens and my grandchildren all have sense enough not to go near my shoes:)
Wishing you respite soon Judy:)
Oh my, those photos are a visual feast! That sky is beautiful. I 've always been fascinated by cloud formations. Lovely roses too!
I love those lavender roses! They are breathtaking. I also love the pic of Storm on your shoes - just too cute. :-)
I wanted to pluck that beautiful arrangement out of the picture and put it on my table. It is gorgeous!
I have never heard of Jumping the Broom - tell us more.
Your companion is so sweet and you must keep Storm inside until you get rid of the wildlife.
Try to get some rest, Judy.
I love the rose arrangement, and yes I have heard of jumping the broom, but I will let you tell it.
that's a v atmospheric picture up top... of what I would call a "blue and white day"...
;->...
lovely blog you got here, take it easy
I love your odds and ends today. The sky is gorgeous, the flowers beautiful, and the cat, well, of course, wonderful.
They look like my slippers. It's the wedding season, eh? My friend who does wedding says, "October is the new June." Netchick sent me to smell the roses and look for foxes.
A beautiful sky Judy, at first I thought you were joking about the eucalyptus in the floral arrangement... but then I found it.
Larkspur [and daffodil] are my favorite flowers!
I keep coming back here to look at the picture of the sky. It reminds me of the sky in Maine. *sigh*
