Those carvings are amazing! I laugh to imagine what would happen if someone turned me loose with a log and a chain saw. I guess I could at least make some very nice shavings for garden mulch!
You always have the neatest pictures - I love these! And yeah, I wonder what happened to the saw dust too... Hmmmmm. Maybe re-purposed as hamster bedding? :-)
What an wonderful story. To be vision impaired for 30 years, then to see. Wow. Chain saw carving always amazes me. How such a large clumsy piece of machinery can produce such beauty in talented hands is mind boggling. Thanks for sharing.
Incredible!! He is an artist with a chain saw. If someone turned me loose with a chainsaw there would be another massacre; only the victim would be me.
These are wonderful! It's funny, but I kind of like them Unpainted, almost better....! Something about seeing the wood...for me....He certainly is talented! Thanks for sharing these Judy.....!

Those are fabulous!!!!!
Wow, I especially like the bears!
I'm quite partial to wood carvings. These are most unusual, unlike anything I've seen.
Looks like you've redesigned your blog since I was last here -- very nice!

Those are fantastic!! I've seen chain saw carving here, but it is just so far from the fabulous standard of those.
Love the owls! Can I have one???
The raccoons are my favorite! Very neat sculptures you photographed, Judy!
It's just insane that someone can be so deft with a chainsaw. That's such a crude instrument yet apparently it suffices in the right hands.
The bambis are my favourites. They used to have sawdust in spitoons in the days when you could spit when you felt like it. Happy Days. Not!
Gorgeous work! I really love the owls and the wolves. Thanks for sharing these.
These are quite spectacular. Beautiful artistry.
Some talent there!
Wow, they are really, really cool. I saw something like this up in Portland once at a sportsman's show. I was so impressed by it.
Judy,
The very last picture looks like the tobaggon run at Lake Placid.....

I can't imagine the years of practice.
I probably couldn't even control one to cut a tree! How talented.
Wonderful! But I can't believe he does them with a chain-saw!
What a unique hobby. The carvings are awesome.
Those are amazing! I would think the detail would be so hard to get! What a great find!
