"What a Difference a Day Makes....."

(sing along with me now......"24 little hours......"

The past three days were gray, dreary and wet and look at today!! (actually yesterday, when I wrote this) Gorgeous blue skies and wispy clouds and bright sun. I'm SO grateful! I didn't notice that bird until I saw the photo here. He must have flown into the frame just after I clicked the camera.

The rosemary plant is grateful, too. Now it's pretty lavender flowers are not drooping in the rain.

DRESS CODE for ELDERS:
Many of us over 50, WAY over 50, or on the way to 50 are quite confused about how we should present ourselves.. We're unsure about the kind of image we are projecting and whether or not we are correct as we try to conform to current fashion. (or so said the email this came in.)
In spite of what you may have seen on the streets, the
following combinations *DO NOT* go together and should be avoided:

1. A nose ring and bifocals

2. Spiked hair and bald spots

3. A pierced tongue and dentures

4. Miniskirts and support hose

5. Ankle bracelets and corn pads

6. Speedo's and cellulite

7. A belly button ring and a gall bladder surgery scar

8. Unbuttoned disco shirts and a heart monitor

9. Midriff shirts and a midriff bulge

10. Pierced nipples that hang below the waist

11. Bikinis and liver spots.

12. Short shorts and varicose veins.

13. Inline skates and a walker..

And the ultimate 'Bad Taste' in fashion for the
older folks...

14. Thongs and Depends.

15. Bubble gum and false teeth.

Please keep these basic guidelines foremost in your mind
when you shop.

(I'm joking, of course. I don't know about the person who wrote this.....LOL)

I'm glad you had sunshine. They treatened snow showers here but they didn't appear! Yay!!!!

Somehow I don't think those fashion faux pas will happen intil the next generation. I'm guessing that in a few years, I'll start wearing smaller hoops.

Good for the Tarheels!!! The Buckeyes were out in the first round. Sigh.

LOL, LOL...Funny List of Don't Do's, Judy....I agree, I must say...!
Happy for you that the Sun was out!
It was quite cold here today....yesterday some people were using their Air Conditioners....It is most confusing, I must say, and I wonder how the plants must feel....They have to be confused, too...!

LOL! Rather fancy a walker with wheels and skates! Could get along raqther well with that! ;)

Yes, we had a glorious day yesterday, though we are hundreds of miles away from you. Did as lot of gardening and just enjoyed it. Back to dull grey today. Oh well, it is Monday, after all!

And here am I agonising about a knee length black skirt worn with black tights and boots. Ho Hum!

Gee, I really thought the belly button ring set off my gall bladder scar just right. Oh Well, we learn every day. Very funny.
Razorbacks are long out so I will throw my support to the Tar Heels.

Ouch! Now I have to go and re-do my whole wardrobe!

Happy you have a bit of sunshine.
Loved the "Do Not" list. Think I will copy and post it at Wally World.

Darn. Now I have to change before I go to work ! (just kidding) . Did you guys get the thunderstorms and hail yesterday? It was a little scary, but over quickly. Being fom Philly, I will be rooting for Villanova. Hope that doesn't strain our blog-friendship.

Old is a frame of mind. I don't consider anyone an Elderly Hellion threat unless they're at least 80. There's a TON of them here in my town.

Love the list! Too funny!

You know, I've been asking about this thong with Depends and couldn't get a straight answer. Thanks for the fashion tips.

Patti: THANKS for your support!

Star: You can root for whomever you want, but I don't want to know about it.....LOL. The weather here was odd yesterday, considering what was forecast. We were supposed to get your weather, but as you can see, it was gorgeous!

That first photo startled me. At first I thought it was a pair of sea dragons, like those in the Monterey Aquarium. But there it is - clouds floating in a blue sky.

So, could you send a bit of that sun west? Please? I am reading a book...Somewhere Near The End....written by a 91 year old and her comments on dress/makeup for older women is a crack up....well worth reading.

Loved the list :) and the shots!

We had sunshine here too and I was getting ready to head for the botanical gardens but I found that they closed at 5 and it was already 3:30. So I will try very, very hard next Sunday.

Apparently we had a bright meteor go over our area last night along with sonic boom and I MISSED IT! The eyewitnesses were just a mile down the road!

Right off the bat, I'm breaking rule number 1. I'm getting my nose pierced this Friday. Maybe I can get contacts, so the bifocals won't be noticeable.

We sure needed the rain but man it's good to see the sun again!

LOL! I love the dress code list. :-)

It's very sunny here today too, but not very warm unless you're right in the sun. If the wind blows... brrrr.

tiff said...

The sun is indeed a most welcome visitor!

Must remember to apply sunscreen now though. Ain't it always something?

Isn't that pronounced "DEE-troit"?

I love the fashion rules... all of them!

I laughed my way through the entire list of Do's and Don'ts. My favorite was thongs and depends.
