I worked with Mel Day of Dogwood Tree Florals this weekend. The first wedding was at Barclay Villa (about 35 miles south of Raleigh). The color scheme was chocolate, blue and green, with touches of white.
The temperature was hovering around 95 and the dew point was 71, so you might imagine how hot and sticky it was. The pool looked so inviting I had to take two shots of it!
Below is the small stone gazebo where the ceremony was to take place. I cropped all the chairs out of the photo, and we had to take the kissing balls down from their shepherd's hooks for later placement, since it was so hot. I am really sorry that I didn't get a good photo of them before we took them down. They were blue and green hydrangea.
The two photos below were from the reception of a wedding in Raleigh, at the NC History Museum. I washed out the photo with the flash, but the lilies and pink roses were a perfect match for the deep plum table linens.
They had three different centerpieces; these tall lilies, short mixtures (as above) and ones with two wine bottles, grapes and rose petals.
(I didn't do these arrangements - I just photographed them.)

You are so talented! I love your wedding flower pics.
Sorry... You write "kissing balls" and I still giggle like a third grader.
Lovely shots as always and beautiful flower arrangements!!
That's a gorgeous colour scheme.
Kenju, You were MAYBE 10 miles from my house!
The next time you're going to be in the area, let me know. Maybe we can go out for dinner or something!
Your floral arrangements are true works of art!
Beautiful floral arrangements.
How did you restrain yourself and keep from jumping in the pool with temps and humidity that high?
Gorgeous flowers and lovely pics :)
Your flower arrangements are always a joy to behold.
I love the blue flowers in the top photo. That pool is nice!
Don't you just want to GO to these weddings? The pool DOES look inviting. I hate that ours just closed.
Yesterday someone showed me a photo of someone I know who got married and arrived in a horse and buggy that looked like Cinderella's fairytale. It was a white wicker pumpkin.
Hello, Michele sent me. :) (And very pretty flowers!)
What a gorgeous place to have a wedding!
The flowers for both events are so pretty.
I especially like the color combo of chocolate, blue, and green. I would love to have seen the bride's maid dresses and how they worked those colors into them.
That pool looks sooooo refreshing!
