Love those statues. We need more of those in the Bay Area.
Wonderful, creative and amusing art.
Thanks for sharing these wonders
Well, you've certainly come up with some statues of interest here. I can think of a possible explanation for the man surrounded by so many babies if it's a commentary on his active life. As for the last one, yeah, I think it's what you think it is.
About that last one.... I'd hate to see its "companion" piece!!
Judy,
Those were great. I think I liked the one with the guy kicking off the kids the best.
I like the woman swinging the little girl. That is cool.
Judy,
Is it possible that the one in Melbourne is a play on the fact that it is in the Australia and that is "Down Under"?
The last one from Germany looks like the front of the old Edsel.....
I've been catching up on all your posts. These statues are something else. Some people's creativity!!!
That photo of you is beautiful! Green is a good color.
Very interesting sculptures---I wonder what the artists got paid for them? as for the last one, well Universities are always a hot bed of Liberalism---obviously.

the Koreaj one looks a bit like Prince Charles. There goes my Damehood:)
I've actually seen the one in Prague. Here is the proof

I took the photo just a couple months ago. It's actually in a very romantic part of the town, near the river, and in the courtyard of a restaurant, which Max and I ate at for our 1st anniversary.
Pat: I thought so too!
Nancy: You are a treasure!!
Diane: Did you post that on your blog? Because I knew I had seen the whole statue (both parts) somewhere.
Concerning the first "fountain": I, like you, have seen a smaller version--during a 1955 tour of an engineering school. (I'm thinking that if we couldn't figure out how it worked, they didn't want us to matriculate.)
I did matriculate and learned "all about" mechanical statics and dynamics. The artist of the "woman with child" shows them in the process of falling--the center of gravity of the piece does not seem to be directly above the woman's feet. Most artists are very aware of the C.G., so I'll chalk it up to artistic license. Other than this quibble, the piece is beautiful.
Good collection!
Cop Car
P.S. In the last piece, I see a stylistic depiction of a woman walking. Surely, you see nothing more. Tsk! Tsk!
I see that woman, too, Cop Car. She's coming through a velvet drape, isn't she?
I loved the art work and the creativity of the artist. . . even the last one which I think is quite anatomically speaking, a wonderful piece. Pun intended.
I love the chubby hula ladies and the man with his head in the building.
You find the most wonderful stuff
I've seen most of these but some I had never seen before! I love the creativity and boldness of whoever thought these up :)
I love the big tap one. It threw me off for a while. Maybe I should go to bed.
These are really quite wonderful. I have seen some of them before but some I had not!
Shocking to say---My body NOW looks like that one woman's facing us--naked...All I can say is...OY! (lol)
Wow, some pretty interesting pieces of art I must say. Great converations pieces....you don't see pieces like these just anywhere. Thanks Judy.
Those were great!
Well, the last one is just work of art!
Have you seen this one?
