My New Favorite Movie Actress

May I introduce you to my new friend? You may have seen her before - if you viewed the movie "Eight Below". Her name was Jasmine then, and she was called Maya in the movie. Now, her name is Strega, which means sorceress in Italian.

Some friends of mr. kenju were visiting from Texas on Tuesday, and Strega is now their dog. The man who bought her from the trainer had to let her go due to some family problems, and our friends took her in. She's a wonderful dog and we really enjoyed meeting her. She was a wee bit tired of spending so much time cooped up in a car, but a walk around my yard and the freedom to run around helped a lot.

We couldn't let her in the house for 3 reasons: Storm, Eclipse and the fleas! But she was happy on the deck and for a minute I thought she was going to jump in the pool, but she thought better of it. She stuck her nose into the thick ivy growing on the fence and then sneezed and coughed for five minutes. I think it was pollen! We were sorry to see her leave.

Did you get a pawtograph? What a beautiful dog. i did not see the movie. was it the one about the sled dogs? Strange to think that n Alaskan sled dog actually resides in Texas. That's Hollywood for you.

What a beautiful dog.

She looks a LOT like my Equinox (RIP). I had to look twice, just to make sure.

That movie played on a plane I flew on a while back. I wasn't interested in watching a movie at that moment, so I didn't put the headphones on. Even without sound I cried like a baby at certain parts.

Stoopid movies!

Judy, I had a major nostalgia fit when seeing this photo. Before I got married, I had a malmut mix I named "Druschka," Russian for "friend."

I miss that dog.

Cheers.

Sweet Sweet Doggie, Judy! And that is a great picture! I have not seen that film, but I will look for it.

Sorry I haven't been around....The amount of time needed for my committment to "viewing" stuff for The Emmy's was a lot more than I realized, till the DVD's arrived...
I signed up for SIX Panels, which was probsbly more than I should have signed up for given the lemgth of some the things I need to watch. Anyway...I should be finished in a few more days...I hope. (lol)

We just met Strega at I Hop in Kyle,Texas. We didn't get the owner's names except the gentleman from Rhode Island called the lady from North Carolona, Sally.
Strega is a service dog and very beautiful and friendly. We enjoyed talking to this interesting couple and meeting a famous dog.
