A sweet band of little angels, who received their First Communion on Saturday. Mr. kenju, Miss Kenju and I travelled a round trip of 250 miles on Saturday, to see (first) this youngest grandchild receive her First Communion. I can't tell you which one she is (her mother forbids it) but she was the cutest one! After the Mass and luncheon at her home, we got back in the car and travelled to the home of our son and his family. We saw a play, in which another granddaughter was a cast member. I'll tell you about that tomorrow.

It was a very long day for all of us. Mr. kenju was apprehensive about being in the car for so long a time. Since his stroke he has been a bit claustrophobic, so we had wondered how he would do in a crowded church. He was fine, since this church was large and not terribly crowded. I think we're making progress!

Our little one did us proud, and we were all happy when it was over. So........now that she is 8 years old, I need a baby to hold. I doubt if I'm going to get any more grandkids from the two who are married. I guess Miss Kenju needs to find a husband......and quickly!

(She says she doesn't read my blog, but I think she does and this might make her own up to it!!)

What a beautiful group of little angels! I have no reason to doubt your granddaughter was the cutest one! It seems like a wonderful day.

Oh definitely every grandmother there had the cutest one.
But then yours was the best of the best.
I am so jealous--Love love love my three grandsons but a litle grand daughter would be just grand.

I'm glad Mr. K is feeling better. It's a long process and he's lucky to have you.

I know how Mr. kenju feels and I've never even had a stroke, I just hate crowds! Our church is always sardine packed on FHC. Thank goodness I only have two children - one who has already done it, so one more to go. I love the girls in their dresses (I was secretly happy I had a girl for pretty much that reason, isn't that terrible? LOL).

What a lovely milestine Judy. And how wonderful that you and yours could participate in it! That picture of all of the kids is just adorable! That certainly wass a BIG trip and it had to be rather tiring I would say, but a trip for such a lovely moment. Congratulations to your youngest Grandaughter.

I love the photo with all the beautiful white dresses.
I'll bet that was a wonderful day for all of you!
Congrats to Mr. Kenju on being able to make the trip, as I can see how he'd be a bit apprehensive following the stroke. My Dad hasn't been out much since his surgery for colon cancer back in January. It's a one day at a time thing. I'll bet you were a little relieved to be able to go and see your daughters and grandchildren, too.

Another step forward. Well done!
At least you could publish her photo - only one of our five allow it.

What a precious group. Our kids are confirmed at age 12 and just wear Sunday best. I love the white dresses.

My grandchildren love to see their pictures on Granny Annie's blog. So far the parent's don't object.

They truly are beautiful and I know your grand daughter was the beauty among all the other beauties.

I am glad Mr. Kenju is getting out and around. It must be very difficult, but I applaud his effort. Someone said he was lucky to have you. I have to totally agree.

I'm baby deprived too. One of Courtney's college friends just had a baby boy, and I got my baby fix by holding him.
Those little ones look so cute in that photo.
I'm glad you & Mr. Kenju were able to attend her special event.
