What Can YOU Do With a Dollar?

A dollar doesn't go far or do much these days, but if you are talented, you can make things with one. Above: a bat

A stork

a cat

An elephant

A woman

A sitting man

A turkey.

And where do you find this stuff?

And you could also get a chili from Wendy's (and hope it doesn't have a finger in it - reference to your George Carlin post a few days ago). :-)

Whoa...those are awesome!

Michele sent me to be impressed today, and to feel inadequate because the only thing I can do with a dollar is spend it.

I think you can get a double cheeseburger from someone... faintly remember hearing a commercial in the background noise around here.

Actually, I bought a package of Kroger hot dog buns (eight) for 98 cents and with tax it was $1 even!

Incredible, huh? I just add some padding to the old hips with a dollar double cheeseburger. Maybe I should learn dollar art instead!

Judy,

Your clever dollar bill folding reminds me of:

News flash about the Japanese Economy:

"Following last week's news that Origami Bank had folded,we are hearing that Sumo Bank has gone belly up, and Bonsai Bank plans to cut back some of it's branches. Karaoke Bank is up for sale, and it is, you guessed it, going for a song.

Fun.
When we were in Hawaii... a shop-keeper made us a "Hawaiian shirt" out of a dollar bill. I still have it. :)

I guess they're not much good for anything else so you might as well fold up dollar bills and play with them...

Very patriotic. I especially like the little man.

You know, Ben Franklin wanted the National bird to be the turkey!

that's a good way to "stretch a dollar"! :-)
I think I like the stork best.

Those are lovely: and especially, they are wonderful *photos* of the artwork --- I have been making a bunch of pieces recently, and photographing them (they are for my kids' school's benefit, and I won't get to keep them!) so that I have a record of how I did --- and my photos have just been awful!

Did you fold these, Judy? If not, I'd love a pointer to the site where you found them!

My 16 year old daughter can do every type of Origami imaginable. Having her do something like this to a ten or twenty would be a cute little gift to put in a box and wrap....money but not just money in a card!
