These photos are of the centerpieces for the Bridesmaid's Luncheon, held Friday. The idea was to bring a spot of Spring to an otherwise bleak landscape. The luncheon was held atop one of the tall buildings downtown, in a city club.
I used medium pink and raspberry roses, purple hyacinths, blue irises, peach stock and orange tulips, with salal (lemon leaf) and ming fern, with a little branch of corkscrew willow in each one.
I thought they were rather cheerful for January!
Tomorrow, I'll begin to post photos from the wedding.

On a bitterly cold January day, this is just what I need to warm my soul. Your color choices are exquisite. I have no design sense, but I know that this is extraordinarily well chosen to meet the particular need.
That's why you're a professional and I'm not!
I love, love, love that color combo. Beautiful work.
These are just Gorgeous Judy...So cheerful and Spring-like...I Love these! They also have such a generous feel to them...Abundant & Beautiful!
I have a question for you. You mentioned tha this was held on the top of a big building.....How do you get everything up there? Do you make the arrangements at your place and then WHO actually physically gets these things to the destination?? That in itself is a lot of work and co-ordinating everything....! I have a mental picture of you unloading all these things and making umpteen tripd to get it all there to the destination....Just how does it all happen?
Forgot to say, Michele sent me! I got so taken up with these very special arrangements and my question!
Very pretty. I love the colors on this cold day here!
You create fairytale magic with flowers. My parents were married in January. I came from Michele's, following the scent of roses.
Those are just so lovely. I adore color, and those table arrangements are stunning and yet, have a very natural feel to them.
Judy, my dear...Thanks for answering my questions...I appreciate it very much and have another question for you.
You mentioned that you get the flowers from the Wholesaler....Here in L.A. we have a Flower Mart downtown that opens at some unGodly hour of the morning...People who want great fresh flowers at wholesale prices go down there....Is the wholesaler you go to like that? Do you call ahead and tell him or her what you want or do you go there and see what flowers are there and fresh, that day? AND, where does HE or SHE get the flowers from?
Well...that's a lot of questions...lol...But I find it all very fascinating...! (Maybe you want to do a post about this with pictures??...just an idea....)
Absolutely beautiful. As everyone else already mentioned - the color choices are perfect. Makes you forget it's January.
BTW - I just noticed the "Golden Oldies" link and I had a wonderful trip through your album. Great photos and boy are you a "looker" as my uncle used to say.
These are just perfect! I thought of you this am stuffing bronze crysanths
in a vase. Not quite the same thing:)
Beautiful, simply beautiful but you get to smell them too:)
Those are amazing! Absolutely gorgeous
The pictures are absolutely beautiful! You are so talented, not only in decorating and arranging, but in your picture taking as well!
I love seeing these arrangements! They remind me that Spring is out there somewhere.
Those flowers are just beautiful and a welcome sight on a very cold day.
Wow, Judy. You have an incredible eye for color. Love, love these.
Those arrangements are gorgeous! Such a lovely abundance of colours! :)
Oh, I love these centerpieces Judy....just beautiful. I really needed a nice spring-like jolt in the middle of this freezing weather we're having. These flowers were just the medicine I needed. These are beautiful pieces. Thanks sweetie....
Judy!
You make me want to throw a party just so I can have centerpieces.
What beautiful arrangements!!

It is always a treat to feast my eyes on your beautiful floral arrangements! Exceptional artistic talent to be sure.
Nothing like spring flowers in january. My husband came home with a big bouquet of them for me on the weekend and i have them displayed in front of me right now. Inspiring!
I love your bouquets here.....
These arrangements even made me think I could see the trees budding. No such luck. It's COLD and snow is still stuck on the ground. I'll be back to look again when I need some Spring. Thanks
These are lovely! I could almost eat them, lol! Seriously, they have my favorite flower colors :)
Absolutely gorgeous!!
I LOVE how colorful they are!!!
Oh now these are my idea of a colorful wedding. :)
