Can You Decipher This?

Last week I was driving around, thinking and musing, and I had an idea for a blog post. It was such a good idea that I just had to write it down, so I grabbed a napkin and at the first stoplight, I wrote:

disuse

decay

death

and then....

Work is an auspicious start to the new year.

What the heck was I planning to write about? If you can figure it out, I'd sure like to know.....

Uh, (tremble) a horror novel post? Glad I'm not the only one who forgets ideas - in my case I can't read my own writing.

I have the same problem as jeanmac with regard to my writing.
All I can think of is that maybe one should jettison all the deadwood in one's life with the end of the old year and throw oneself into one's work with vigour in the new year. Ring any bells? Thought not:).

OMG! I do that all the time. and not just with blog posts , although I have always ontended that if I could just get it from my head ro the omputer my posts would be much more interesting. I write myself notes all the time and have no idea what they refer to later.

I think pi is on to something - disuse, death, decay - all indicate getting rid of - exfoliating shall we say :)

and work can be fun stuff as well - a new hobby, new designs for the flowers, whatever.

How amazing that a post that wasn't a post became a post.

See how good you are!?

Judy, I sure hope you don't remember. I like happy endings--and that ain't one.

If you neglect (disuse) something you will lose it. It will decay and eventually die. So a person should always put their talents to work and to do so would be a great way to start the New Year.

Use it or lose it as they say. Good beginning for the new year.

Judy, perhaps you were concerned that you would allow your sharp mind to fall to disuse and your brain would decay, resulting in death of some fantastic ideas. But we all know that could never happen to you because of your extreme talent and thus you could only experience a very auspicious New Year! Right?

I'm still trying to figure out if disuse is a real word?
