Let me introduce you to my new friend - Alfie Spencer Ellis. He lives with the friend with whom I stayed while I was out of town. Alfie is a Bichon Frise, and Alfie requires attention 24/7! He is cute as a button, but he is heavy maintenance! Alfie's main trick is jumping 3 feet in the air from a standing-still position. He does it often (every two minutes). He loves to eat cantaloupe and will beg incessantly while you are at the breakfast table. His form of begging includes jumping up into your lap when you least expect it! When you are stretched out on the couch, hoping to get a short nap, Alfie decides that is the best time to practice jumping on the furniture, running full speed up the stairs to the kitchen and back to the couch, pouncing on all fours in the middle of your stomach, or maybe your face! In spite of it all, he is a sweet, cuddly, fuzzy, soft love of a puppy - and I am so glad I finally met him.
More trip notes will be forthcoming, as soon as I have had time to process memories. I missed all of you!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww he is soooooo darling!!!!!!!!!!
how does it feel to have a toddler in the house again? LOL
Cute! But I must say I prefer puppies at other people's homes.
I don't think I'd have the patience to train one these days.
He's so cute.
I also love the cartoon of the lady with the hotdogs. I have that attitude when I cook, too.
gee....it sounds like Alfie needs some ritalin! Or a litter buddy :)
Glad you enjoyed your trip....look forward to reading your insights. They always make me smile.
Oh dear! We had a jumper, larger in size than your cutie, but she leaped up repeatedly to see in our living room window whenever we put her outside. She was an outdoor hunting bird dog that thought she should be a house pet. (No, we didn't use her for hunting.)
Awwww Alfie looks soooooooo sweet. I hope to see more pictures and stories on your blog re alfie.
Welcome back Judy! That dog is a cutie, but holy cow. He sounds a lot like my almost 1 year old-always in need of attention!
Judy,
If Alfie gets on your nerves after a while jumping up and down let me know and I'll have Willow to eat him.
He's adorable.
He looks like a lovely pup.
He's a cutie! Welcome back. I love the Maxine cartoons.
Oh one of those bitchin' frizzies !!! Love those little guys, but this one sounds like he could use a little Obedience Training.
Glad you are back and posting.
What's it all about Alfie? I knew a dog with the same name. I wish you could youtube his jumping.
Cute doggie. My daughter has a toy poodle that must be on a lap 24/7.
Adorable!
(note to self... Bichons are for visiting, not for living with).
~S :)
super cute!
Very cute lol, but not very calming I must say. We have a Bishon Maltese..she can be full of energy also but knows not to beg if we tell her NO...she jumps very high when we get home but stops when we pet her and tell her to calm down lol...she waits till I tell her she can jump up on me when I am in the big chair..or the couch..and then she curls up on me and sleeps. I guess what I am trying to say is....I love all dogs, but abit of training goes a long way lol. Our other dog is even more quiet..she has her moments but is older so knows even better lol.
Alfie sounds like a cat ;)
I have an 18 month old daughter who acts like Alfie. Right down to the begging. LOL. He's a cutie.
Cutie. Violet is a jumper too and Stve lets her...says she is cute.
Finally - another pup who likes cantaloupe! My black lab LOVED it!
Welcome home!
What an adorable pup he is...! They certainly are full-of-energy dogs, aren't they? I know other people who have one and she is very much like Alfie...lol!
Alfie is a cute doggie!
He's full of spunk which is a good thing... unless you are napping.
sounds like a great dog--but he'd old after the second breakfast! I don't share cantelope with anyone.
Awwww. it's always nice to share a fuzzy cute thing. Thanks for introducing us to Alfie.
