Two Things

Anyone need a 30+ year old pinata?  I suspect the candy inside was probably stale when we bought it -  but it might be still edible.  lol  This thing has been in a closet for at least 29 years, and I guess it is time to get rid of it.

*******
*Edit below:   You know how frustrating it can be when you are waiting for something to be delivered and it doesn't come?  I ordered a new cooktop last week from a company in Alabama, on the advice of my installer, instead of buying it locally, because the price was half on-line. YES, half, and shipping was only $15. They sent an email the next day saying it had been shipped. I waited for FedEx to arrive, but they didn't come and we had to go out to dinner that night. Lo and behold, on Sunday morning I found a sticky note on my front storm door saying that they had tried to deliver at 7:45 pm on Saturday night. Who delivers that late on Sat? On Tuesday, I called the 800 number to see if I could establish when they were coming. I couldn't get a human on the line, of course, but the robot told me they would deliver today (Wednesday). It is almost 6pm now, and I'm still waiting.  :-(

* It came at 6:45.....YAY!  Now I have to wait for the new vent hood to arrive, and I can call the installer.

I hate waiting for stuff to arrive. We have a deer gate, so I have to remember to get it open bright and early on those days.

Why wasn't the pinata ever broken?

That "sorry we missed you" note happens a lot around here because we are both deaf and don't hear them at the door. UPS will leave the package but FED-x always leaves a note then it takes forever to get them back here. 7:45 PM is way too late to expect a delivery.

We have more of less convinced the postie to leave stuff in the porch round the side of the house.

Wow, those Fed Ex guys really put in the hours. That is what workers put up with when 500 guys want your job. Glad you finally got it.
If there are candy canes or fruit cakes in the pinata, they are still good:))

Sometimes one wonders if it's all worth it where "bargains" are concerned..Glad it finally got there Judy.

As to the Pinata....I honestly wouldn't trust 29 year old Candy, though it might be fun to see what is actually in there...!

I HATE being at the whim of the delivery company. I always use my po box for mail and wish everything could come that way.
Love the pinata !

I once had UPS show up on Christmas morning with a package ..... a present from my brother to Nyssa. I thought that went above and beyond.

That Pinata needs hittin' with a stick. As for the deliveries, it never fails. You could run out for 5 minutes, and that's when they would show up !

Now that's a first--a 29 year old pinata. You probably could sell it on eBay.
