That magenta color is spectacular. Do they have a good smell?
Yes, they do, Fran. It is intoxicating!
They are gorgeous! I bought and planted some lilies, said to be reddish pink, and they have turned out a deep deep red, and sitting next to the yellow ones, quite a contrast!
Maybe it is my long years of chronic sinusitis or the formalin fumes (Stephen says it is the sinusitis), but I have a hard time smelling the lily. Is it true that only a few of them have the wonderful smell? I know I have stuck my nose into them, trying to come away with the sweet smell and ending up with yellow or orange pollen all over my nose... and not much else. These ARE gorgeous and so HUGE!
I like number one because of the contrast, but both are lovely.
How gorgeous they are!!!!
Kenju--Not to be ornery; but, unlike Tabor, I like the 2nd photo better - probably because I like simplicity. I do agree that both photos are lovely. Fran hit it on the head: "That magenta color is spectacular."Cop Car
Both are beautiful!
Oh my, they are beautiful. I have to find some. And fragrant also, what is not to love.
Happy belated Anniversary to the Kenju's. The Lilies are stunning.
Oh My Lordy---They are BEAUTIFUL! Such a rich deep color...I Want Some!!!(lol)
I do love the colour and the second photo shows the flower head off perfectly.
In Marin I had lilies of all colors and fragrances, stalks 8'-10' tall with dozens of blooms greeting my guests in the courtyard. Thanks for the reminder. They are colors and scents only heaven can provide :)a/b
My lilies are all white. That colour is stunning. Top photo is my favourite.
