Extra, Extra!! Read All About It!

Current Headline from The Dental Times:

"Molar Succumbs to Soggy Cereal"

Ms. Kenju reports that as she was eating her morning cereal, the normally crunchy bits became even crunchier when a molar broke and shattered into small bits, leaving what feels like a gaping hole in the normal bite structure, and requiring immediate action by the dentist - who, nevertheless - cannot get to it until tomorrow at 2:30 pm. (AAACK!)  She did what anyone would do in that situation; she went back to bed.

Further reports as events warrant.

Ow ow ow...

BTDT, it is not fun, especially when you wind up having to wait for the root canal you don't really want in order to alleviate the pain...

I just lost a small part of a filling that was between two molars and now I get food painfully stuck between my teeth and must engineer its removal after every meal. I am not in pain, but the dentist will not be able to replace the filling until NEXT MONTH!

Ouch, the same thing happened to me recently and I haven't done anything to get it sorted out yet!

Good luck!

Yikes, I sure hope you aren't in pain. Just try to keep your tongue out of there. Impossible isn't it.
Thanks for the warning, I plan to stay away from soggy cereal.

Bed seems like an appropriate place for such an incident!!!! With covers over head.

Oh dear. I hate to say it, but even this is part of the aging process.
