Did You Know?

Beethoven, who was a coffee lover, was so particular about his coffee that he always counted out 60 beans for each cup when he prepared his brew.

Los Angeles's full name is:     "El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de Los Angeles de Porciuncula."

The sign for infinity is called a lemniscate.

A baby eel is called an elver; a baby oyster is called a spat.

Research has shown that mosquitoes are attracted to people who wear perfume.

A group of unicorns is called a "blessing."

Venus is the only planet in the solar system to turn clockwise. It rotates clockwise on its axis extremely slowly, suggesting that something might once have collided with it to disrupt its regular motion.
(Would anyone like to bet it was Mars?)

The Antarctica is the only land on our planet that is not owned by anyone or any country.

Within a lifetime, a crocodile can go through 2-3,000 teeth.
(Makes me wonder who did that research and how he knew?)

Great travia, if I had known about baby oysters, spats, I think that's what I would have nicknamed my two sons, Spat 1 and Spat 2.

Mosquitoes love me, with or without perfume!

And those leaves on my blog are definitely brambles - they have prickles!

If any of us were to see a group of unicorns, it would indeed be a "blessing". Or some would call it a curse since unicorns are supposed to be of the devil:)

I've never thought about oysters having babies before
