And some determined tendrils, saying...."AHA! I got you right where I want you!" I spotted this beside the door to my hair salon. The tendrils fascinate me, and had I not had someplace to go when I left there, I might still be photographing them!
I know that we will undoubtedly have some cooler weather again - perhaps even the cold will return with a vengeance. But this weekend, we are awash in sunshine and mid-70's temperatures, and I wish that all of you could be here and experience it (especially friends in the northwest, who are having yet another snowstorm.) |

I cling to winter.... somehow, I miss those nights when my room can get down to the 50's and I can snuggle under the heated blanket. I miss those nights in summer when I have to shed almost all the covers and sleep under the fan.
I especially dread it this year... with electric prices and gas prices up and with a dog that almost has to have it colder to breathe normally now... no, summer will not be fun.
You deserve all the beauty nature gives you Judy. We had a lovely warm day yesterday. Not as warm but very sunny today. Later in the week, a possible flurry !

You have no idea what scraggly forsythia is. Yours look great. I have one that is a true embarrassment to the neighborhood. I might be guilty of forsythia abuse.

What is the saying about 3 snows after the forsythia bloom? I certainly hope that's only true in Ohio and not in NC...NO MORE SNOW!!! I've been loving this aremer weather...i love your photos and really didn't know that was the dogwood; very pretty!
I hope the dogwoods are in bloom when we're that way the first of April!
Spring isn't treating you too badly, so far. We got up to 83 degrees, today - far too hot for me. I'm delaying going to bed to allow more time for the air to cool down. (I slept under one sheet and one thin quilt during the coolest part of the winter and have just the sheet on, now - furnace duct is blocked in my room.) Gahhh!

The baby dogwood is so unusual for me - I love it. The tendrils a bit scary:)
Everyone is welcoming Spring while I am busy resting from the grandchildren's visit. I only saw the insides of my eyelids yesterday.
So many pretty things blooking now....I love Tendrils, too...They are incredibly fascinating the way they latch onto some other plant and just keep on 'keeping on'...!
Our weather is so weird right now....Cold and Sunday we had this horrendous storm--all day long--And they say we will be getting more....Being inside is nice and cozy, but I']m ready for some slightly warmer weather, as is most everyone I know.
