Wow, this is so cool. 'Black Beauty' is so beautiful. They used to put a lot of design in the books back then. What a lost art (sigh).

Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed seeing them :)

Judy,
That is so fun...this actually reminded me to look at my mom's old books; I have quite a few and will need to look at the dates of them.
I love the story of Black Beauty...when is the last time your read the book?

I love these photos. I treasure my books - each and every one of them. I especially love the ones I've found at used book stores and yard sales - they often have inscriptions written with beautiful penmanship. Thanks for posting the photos.

So your Picasa is working? Why is mine not?
I had to go through all sorts of machinations to get the picture where and at what size I wanted but still not exactly right like that simple one button was doing. Sigh. I have to be up really early and we are trying to take Mom for another attempt at that infusion.. I am hoping it will go this time.

I LOVE that cover on the Black Beauty!!!

What absolute treasures you have. You should build a glass case to protect and display them.
I had no idea Black Beauty was so old. I loved that book though it did give me my first book induced cry.

I'd love to know how you posted. I tried clicking on 'upload'. Heaven knows where it uploaded to!
