How Does that Happen?

I took five photos outside yesterday, to illustrate that spring is definitely on its way. I  uploaded them to Picasa as I always do, and clicked to blog them, and the photos disappeared! Completely disappeared - from Picasa AND from the photo files on the computer. I am baffled as to how that could happen. I know I could have clicked on something (unwittingly) to cause it - but I am 99.9% sure that didn't happen. DRAT! If I get time to take photos again later, you'll see them and if you see this - I didn't have time. Catch you later.

That is most annoying! I recently learned that the new blogger photo upload service has a maximum memory. I recently exceeded it, and had to pay for more memory. Luckily I read the details that had I deleted old photos (things I uploaded for prior posts) those images would have gone away. Anyway for just $5 I now have space something like a zillion photos, so I'm happy again. check into that.

I"M so cheap!! I resent having to pay for space I can't really see....
LOL...but I may have to at some point. I deleted a lot of older photos and, of course, they were deleted from my blog posts as well. I learned too late!

Weren't the pictures still on your camera card after you uploaded them?

I learned a long time ago not to let any program erase the pictures from the card until I erase them myself.

I'm not really very good at the blogging things that you are so skilled at so maybe you already keep the pictures on the card until you are certain that you don't need the card anymore. I was just wondering..

I'm sorry that your nice Spring pictures were lost...

I save many (most) to a CD and then others to an outside hard drive. Clearly never will find them all in the future.

I hate it when that happens.
Yes my comment form is different. Better I hope.
In the process I lost a good majority of my old comments.

Sorry, you lost your pics. I don't know what makes these things disappear. I scanned an article 6 months ago to do a post on it and when I went to get it, it was gone. So, I just said forget it, then 2 weeks ago the scan appeared. It was wierd. I also watched a picture of my grandfather that I scanned disappear before my eyes, all that was left was the name of it. I don't even want to think about that one. Don't know what happened but I'm glad I have the orginial photo. maybe a virus, who can say, I'm not a computer whiz.

Looking forward to your new pics of spring :)
