Crud Report + No Comments Allowed

I'm four days into the crud (drainage, sore throat, cough, watery eyes, ear pain) but I decided to feel better today - or pretend to - so I could get something done around here.

The early afternoon saw temps rising into the high 50's, so I swept out the garage, cleaned out two litter pans, washed a storm door glass that was so dirty it looked polka-dotted and did a little organizing, along with two loads of laundry. I feel worth my keep now. It will be warm again tomorrow, so I hope to get some fresh air again. It does a body good!

You know that I've ranted here about not being able to leave comments on some blogs for about a month now; blogs where I was previously able to  comment with no trouble at all. I'm going to name them in the hopes that they will follow their links and see why I'm not saying anything lately. They are:

I think there are a few more, but I couldn't locate them today. It frustrates me a lot when I am not able to leave a comment and I want them to know that. All these bloggers are worth a look-see, so check them out when you have time.

Just for you, I went and looked at a few of those blogs (who I don't normally look at) and I had the ability to leave a comment (although I didn't).
I'm using Firefox- are you using something else? Some showed the ability to comment as anonymous, or I'd ask if you had signed into Google or Blogger or another recognized account first (that might still help you out). Have you rebooted?

I am so sorry you are sick. You take care and get better :)

G in Berlin, I can't get to your blog or your profile to lave a message.

I have re-booted until I am blue in the face. I do use FF exclusively. On all of these, I get the box showing the ability to comment as anonymous, or list your screen name and blog URL, or sign in with my google account - but none of it works - the comment doesn't post no matter what I do.

Sounds like you have the same thing as my son. He pretty much spent four days sound asleep. Hope you're feeling better. If not - orange juice and vodka!

Sometimes I forget that you really are a bit south of us. They predicted it would get to the mid to upper 50's here today, but alas, again it only made it to 49 and now a bit cooler for tomorrow.

Glad to hear you are feeling better.

YOu were that sick and you did all that!! What on earth do you do when you are really sick?

Tabor, it is in my nature to work even when I am sick. The only illness that ever put me down for the count was pneumonia. I have done and delivered weddings when the temps were in the low teens, and I had a temp of 104*. (I know - that was stupid). Luckily I don't have to do that anymore.

I hope you get better soon I was wondering where you have been, but I have been so very busy (only one post in the past week) that I didn't have time to check. I wonder what might be causing this.

I wish I knew, Sage. The last time it happened, it had something to do with embedded comment boxes, and I can't remember what the fix was - but the bloggers had to change the way their comments showed up on the blog before I could leave any.

I checked a couple of the blogs you mentioned and made comments. It was very enjoyable reading their posts. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I am so sorry you haven't been feeling well; UGH! That is the stuff my son had and was out of school for 2 1/2 days...now he has the drudgery of finishing up all the work he missed today!
I am so sorry you can't access my comments; I miss your thoughts! I'll go into my comment section and see if I can make some changes and I'll let you know!

Dang I am sorry you are still sick.
Judy, when that happened to us, I went to my Settings, selected Comments, then selected Full Page in the comment placement form.
Hope that helps.

Sorry you're not feeling better - but sometimes just pretending does make it better, doesn't it?

Funny, when I read your title, at first I thought you were going to say that no one was allowed to comment on your crud! LOL

Sending my good wishes for better health! Still can't find why you can't leave a post.

I'm amazed that I'm able to comment here. Of course, that remains to be seen, since I'm not guaranteed that this comment will post when I press the button. I'm hoping with all my might that it will. I know how awfully frustrating computer woes are! The internet situation here has been very unpredictable, and it's been driving me bonkers! I've had trouble getting on Facebook, and if by some miracle I get on, it drops me and I can't get back on. Maddening! So I feel your pain.
I sure hope you feel much better tomorrow as the weather improves, so will your health! You sure did a lot of work for being still somewhat ill. Good for you, but don't push too hard, or your body may revolt.
I hope to get onto FB sometime tomorrow, so I'm sure if I can, I'll be able to say hello or at least "Like" whatever you post there. :-)
Now to see if this comment will post...

There are a number of Blogger Blogs where I have trouble easily commenting. I type my text, put in my name and URL. No secret code shows so I just make up one. Then I click on Publish. I go reeling back to the top of the blog, scroll back down, get a message that the secret word was wrong, type in the one that shows now, Publish, get sent back to the top, come back and Publish again. By the 4th try it usually publishes. Sometimes I forget to keep scrolling back down and Publishing over and over. Then I wonder where my comment went. I only go through this routine of idiocy for blogs I really like.

I'm sorry you've been sick. I hope you're not only pretending to be better but soon will be. I should have taken advantage of the better weather to work in my yard but I used all my energy walking instead.

I'm glad that you are beginning to feel better. Hope this continues.

Some comment boxes are anti- social and make it so difficult and time consuming. If you are a blogger who likes to visit other bloggers regularly it is quite off putting.
And i think the more decoration one has the slower everything moves.
