Good News/Bad News

Good news:  Bloglines, the feed reader service I use - that was going to be closing on 11-1 is staying open! While I was using google reader in the interim and found it okay - I still like bloglines better, so I'm happy about that. I just wish I hadn't deleted my "subscribe with bloglines" button.

Bad news:  I wore my new pajamas all day long. They are black jersey, allow for ease of movement and very comfortable - just what I need to wear when I'm cleaning house. I poured bleach into the washer this afternoon and a bit later I saw two red polka-dots on the top of the pjs. I am so mad at myself. You'd think I'd be smarter than that by now.

Bad news:  it may freeze tomorrow night. I'll have to bring my potted plants indoors, and I still haven't gotten my warm clothing out.

Good news: warmer weather is on the way back!! I can put the potted plants back outside, and I can wait a few more days to get out the warm clothes!

Sorry 'bout the P.J.s!
Freeze !! Already???
We've been in a heat wave breaking all time records -- almost 100 degrees -- unbelievable. Had to allow A/C to come on.

I can just see you dashing in and out with your potted plants, wearing you black pyjamas!!

I've done that with bleach, too, I have a pair of grey trousers (now relegated to taking the dog out) with fetching pink patches on one knee!!

I do that too, ruin clothes with bleach. You would think I would put on all ready ruined clothes when I use bleach but nope, guess I like to make more. Someday they may come into fashion like ripped jeans and I will be set.
We are in the mid 20's this AM. Hope it doesn't make it to you.

When we got Mom and Dad's house ready to sell, I did a lot of power washing of the siding... with bleach. It was February and March... so I wore sweats. Needless to say I have major bleach spots on the shirt and pants along with paint and other stuff. But the seat of my behind is perfectly fine and the whole effect is very funny. I keep them to work outside when it is cold and to clean the garage. They really can't get any worse!

I hope it doesn't freeze here. I have some outside baskets to repot with pansies still and I have bubble wrap to put around the outside pots that we are going to leave outside. I also need to cut back the Boston Fern and bring it in and cut off the tips of the coleus and try and root them inside for next summer. But, my cold and gunky head and chest are still not quite there.... still feel totally washed out.

I had the same issue with bloglines. I had always used that as my feedreader. However, in my case I switched to google feedreader when I found out bloglines wasn't going to continue and now I'm used to the google feedreader. I don't really feel like switching back at this point.

This time of year is always dicey. I keep the summer and winter clothes on standby. In a few weeks, I can put away most of the warm weather stuff. And, pray that it fits next Spring! LOL. (well, the kids' stuff goes in the goodwill pile since it will not fit them in a few months).

I never pack the winter clothes very far away, Normally I push them to the back of the wardrobe/closet. In Ireland we often have very cool days during our so called summers.

Try stitching a small motif over the bleach marks. I remember a friend spoiling a new jump suit several years ago so I cut a wriggly snake shape from imitation and washable leather. we trailed it from the knee and up over the marks, over one shoulder across the back and the head appeared at the front again. We embroidered the eyes, and added a tongue and fangs. We added a rattle to the tail to finish it off. It was greatly admired.

It seems like every day is a series of good and bad. Will you still sleep in the bleach marked jammies?

I have ruined good clothes when using bleach, too. Why does it splatter so?

I hate when you put on something new and comfy and before the day is out it is spotted with something! And usually something that is difficult to get out---in this case, never...OY! So sorry Judy.
When you said "freeze" I thought...Gee, so soon? And then I realized---It Is November! We've had another HEAT Wave here...but it is a little cooler today.
