Halloween is coming.....and you'll no doubt need....

a pumpkin. Will you carve yours like these?
I sure won't!
My pumpkins are lucky to get carved at all. This one is called  "I've got my eye on you!"

Artist Ray Villafane began carving pumpkins on a lark for his art students in a small rural school district in Michigan. The hobby changed his life as he gained a viral following online and unlocked his genuine love of sculpting. Here are images of pumpkin carvings Villafane created over the past five years.

Aren't they just fabulous?? I have a few more to show you tomorrow. What's your favorite?

Are you trying to make the rest of us feel bad about the pumpkins we carve, kenju?

Wow - those are fabulous. What a talented man. I like the one with his eye hanging out the most. :)

I'm sort of partial to #1. It reminds me of the girl who asked the fellow if they would be seeing each other again and he said:

" Sure,we'll see each other again. I'll keep an eye out for you."

THESE ARE FANTASTIC! Truky Amazing! My favorite of those three is the last one--it seems to me it is the most 'artful' and would have been so hard to do, though, in truth, they all had to have been hard to do! People and their ART really take my breath away...! Thanks Judy! I look forward to the next set.

Wow! I'm happy when mine somewhat resemble a face. My favorite is the one with the zipper.
