Jeff found this stair banister in an antique shop and re-purposed it for their shop decor. Seeing it decorated can really help floral and Christmas decor designers to make clients aware of what can be done in their homes and offices.
There are more photos, and I'll show them to you in a few days. You may think it is way too early to be thinking about Christmas, and for most people, you'd be right - but florists and decorators have to start early! Our first Christmas decor job of the season is November 23rd.
I asked for a birthday present tonight on Facebook; I'd love a whole day in which NOT ONE PERSON says in my presence, the word "awesome." |

If I were in Congress, I would propose a law which states than no Christmas displays could be put out for viewing until after Halloween..... I know, War On Christmas.......(imagine scary music here) - That said they are beautiful.. Jay (aka "the Grinch")
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Dear Judy! I hope you get your Birthday Wish...lol!
It really is hard for all of us in Los Angeles to think about Christmas today----HEAT WAVE---Like It Is Hotter Than Hell!!!! An OVEN....!
But....I can appreciate that you and your collegues have to be thinking about it right now. And to think, in just a minute it will be October....!
BEAUTIFUL Decor!!!!
Anything that includes Marilyn is fine by me but I can't say Christmas will loom large this year.
However we have the Australians to look forward to in January.
Is that my favourite "Marilyn" in the first photo? please don't mention Christmas again until the end of November!!!!
Christmas comes far to early for me - but I can see your point about having to plan early!
The decorations are lovely, and the bannister rail looks great. I'd like to do something similar, but I need the rail to hang onto going up and down stairs! I'd get more than a few prickles there!
I like the "Victorian" one as well. That is quite the creative florist. I will make a point of not even using the word awesome on your birthday.
I won't introduce you to my husband. He uses that word too much. I told him he should get a vanity plate that says AWSUM.
I love the photos! I don't even try to aspire to decorating like that or anything close but I love to view what others can do!
The Christmas displays were aw...awfully nice.
I would like to see them wait until the end of September to put out the Halloween displays.... here they went up in August.
I don't even want to THINK about Christmas decorating.
I love the aqua and silver decorations. If I were to decorate again I would be tempted to copy them.
Like the others, I do not want to think about Christmas now. It used to be the biggest holiday in my life and home and now it's pretty much just another day. I am either away or home trying to ignore the whole thing.
I love that showgirl outfit! Yeah - I'm already buying Christmas presents here and there. :)
Hmmm. I saw a leg o mutton here but no goose.
You have a fun job, Judy. I'd like a lot of those presentations but probably couldn't afford them. It's fun to window shop though.
Love the bannister I've been decorating the same damn railing for 26 years and I am never satisfied with how it turns out!
Happy Birthday Judy. I hope you do something special to celebrate the day.
I never thought of using my dressmaking stand for decorative purposes. Thanks for the Idea.
This looks so fun! I've always wanted a dressmakers mannequin.
